Bristol City striker Mo Eisa has made the move to join League One side Peterborough United for a record transfer fee, chairman and co-owner Darragh MacAnthony has confirmed. Peterborough United have completed the signing of striker Mo Eisa from Championship side Bristol City for a club record transfer fee, it has been confirmed on Saturday morning. Posh chairman and co-owner Darragh MacAnthony posted a video on Twitter with Eisa confirming the arrival of the 24-year-old on a four-year deal, saying: Upon the announcement, Eisa spoke to Peterborough United’s official website, revealing that he had a number of sides interest in him, but it was Posh who wanted him the most. “Peterborough wanted me the most, they showed the most interest me and showed how serious they were to get the deal done. I met the chairman and the manager and they have shown nothing but love for me and that is what I need. “I know all about the strikers that have scored goals for Peterborough in the past and hopefully I can do that here. I want to score goals, but I am not selfish, it is about the team and the team’s objective is to get to the Championship and I want to help the team in that goal. I am looking forward to getting started.” Posh were heavily interested in Eisa during the summer transfer window last summer, having four bids rejected for the striker after an electric campaign with Cheltenham Town. Now, the club have finally got their man. He joined a list of strong Posh signings this summer, following Mark Beevers, Serhat Tasdemir, Frazer Blake-Tracy, Dan Butler and Christy Pym through the door at London Road. The arrival of Eisa on a long-term contract for a club record fee is a big statement from The Posh, who will be hoping to ch allenge for promotion next season. https://the72.co.uk/133381/peterbor...striker-in-record-seven-figure-transfer-deal/
Probably good business if we made a profit and have a healthy sell on clause. People will say he did not get a chance but not sure where he fitted in plans. For young up coming forwards surely you look at U23s and Antoine etc and if we bring in a proven goal scorer, as most seem to want, where does that leave Mo. So good luck Mo, score loads against the Gas
Paid £800 rising to £1 million https://www.gloucestershirelive.co....ll-news/bristol-city-boss-lee-johnson-2889696 Peterborough club record signing was £1.25 million so we’ve made a bit on him after sell on clause.
Strange one this, I guess the coaching staff don’t feel he’s good enough to step up to top end championship level, seems they had the opportunity to pretty much cover their costs and maybe even have made a small profit, so you could argue good business, however it does bring into question why they bought him in the first place.
in his limited game time he showed some amazing glimpses injury maybe not helped but maybe his fee pays anothers wages! and so far not seen a great clear out … was sorry to see Pisano go though ...
I liked Pisano as well John, he isn’t getting any younger though , either means Vyner gets some game time or assume another RB on their way in. I’m not convinced by hunt tbh , we’ll just have to see what unfolds over the coming weeks.
