Have you not seen some of the negativity on Twitter? That's far worse

My brother did the same for years, where he posted on the Chronicle site and others pretending to be a mags fan. Most of his comments could be summarised as "we were rubbish, and our ground is a dump". It kept him amused.

Don't do Twitter Norton, this site is about my limit computer wise, non of us are best pleased we didn't go up but to constantly go on and on about it just doesn't make any sense too me.
never mind each to his own and as I've said on here before it's all about opinions, just give us all a rest from the negativity would be a nice change.

I don't see the point in being negative either. This site is like a breath of fresh air compared to the despondency on some other sites though!

You cant blame people for venting on forums. It was only a couple of years ago that we were spending our 10th straight year in the Prem, and now we're spending our second year in League 1.
Its fecking devastating that a team with our fanbase and infrastructure is playing 3rd tier football. Last year was a bitter pill to swallow but most of us thought it would just be a flash in the pan and we'd soon be back challenging to be back in the best league in the world. Reality has now set in that this league is a lot harder than expected and promotion next year is definately going to be tough and a lot of comings and goings need to be done with our playing staff.

Most fans are in panic mode, me included, because the longer were down here the more our clubs history and reputation gets tarnished.

Not having a dig at anyone, but I prefer to think of the positives rather than dwell on the disappointment of not going up.

When we think back to the season just gone, we've had two Wembley appearances, finished in a play off place in the league and only lost one league game at home. All of this was done with a hastily assembled squad of players and the loss of our top scorer in the January window.

Jack Ross was also on a steep learning curve, having never managed in the English league and is still relatively inexperienced. He had the balls to take on the responsibility of managing one of the biggest clubs in English football and will be the first to say that he's made mistakes.

I believe Jack and the squad will have learned a lot of lessons from this season. With that in mind and with some canny recruitment to the first team, I predict that we are going to have a very successful 2019/20 campaign.

Yep... another year in the 3rd division, is hard to take... my season ticket renews automatically.. but I am not sure how often i will go...

I will always support Sunderland... but find it hard when we keep fcuking up

It would be great if the team would actually give us something to really cheer about

And not the tinpot cup... as that was part of the problem this season... it was okay for us fans to get excited about it... but the management needed to be focused on the main prize and not get distracted

Marquis wants to sign, we are looking at a tall jock defender young and good things will be better this year no doubt about it. We even may get some useful Liverpool lads on loan

I understand completely that the cup run was probably detrimental to our league season, but that Wembley trip will live long in the memory, particularly the fantastic scenes witnessed at Trafalgar Square.

....and I did pick up on Stuart Donald's quote in his podcast that he wants us to win the Check a Trade Trophy next season!

Money talks mate and league one pays peanuts, as did the prize money of the checkatrade.

Im glad you had fun mate, but we're facing oblivion and being another Leeds unless we prioritise our shyte

My Grandson, who I'd been taking to the game since he was about seven goes with his mates now he is fourteen. He got to got to Wembley, with his dad.

They took in Trafalgar Square too.

While the result wasn't what was hoped for, the weekend will live with him for ever.

These are the sort of memories we all collect to some degree and I'm glad he's got this one in his locker.
