Had a lot to do coming round Tattenham Corner. That's what I like about Frankie's ride - had her in the box seat. Pink Dogwood may turn out to be the better filly (possible Arc contender?) but today was Frankie's day.
Not sure you can say that. There was no pace and Anapurna beat her, if they'd have gone faster Anapurna would have outstayed her.
The winner is a tough filly and really wanted to win. I look forward to seeing what she does next. Ryan Moore looks like he has forgotten where the winning post at Epsom is
We shall see, I thought Ryan got it wrong again and asked her to win the race at the two pole. That and sweeping wide made it so much more difficult whilst Frankie scooted around the inside and didn’t need to quicken as much and his horse had a more efficient race.
An absolute masterclass from Frankie, what charisma this guy has, apart from being one hell of a horseman. A real gutsy performance from Anapurna and a triumph for her sire, Frankel. Oh, John Gosden is a pretty fair old trainer too! Owner/Breeder has one in tomorrow's Derby too, which is certainly not without a chance.
good call, mate! but for medayyih, she was rather floundering in the end.. stratford,5 45: not too many house-hold names here, but what i know,is that gina andrews is one of the best amateurs around in this country, and that counts a lot in these races.she rides second fav GENERAL ARROW,and he apparently does really well in points at present,so i go with him.
Saw a bit of the Epsom action on the itv hub whilst at the coalface this afternoon. Was that really good (good to firm in places) ground? It looked like they were going in a fair bit off the bend. Not heard any trainers moaning so maybe I need to get my eyes tested.
Moore is a fine jockey. If the horses he finished 2nd on had been good enough they'd have won. Good to firm is the new Good
I am not a bit interested in fashion, and have always been uncomfortable that these fashion people appear at major UK race meetings. Good grief, they'll soon have a catwalk at Royal Ascot! However, today was amusing inasmuch as the beautiful Francesca had a white creation 'hat' that looked as though a dove had crash-landed on her bonce?
In fact watch them going round Tattenham Corner and you see the kickback. That is not soft ground but false ground because they obviously watered. My record is stuck but stop watering late to try to produce good (or good to soft) ground and let nature take its course.
At the Dante she looked as if she had a slice of Pizza on her head. Today she looked as if she had her jim jams on. Did not suit her at all. May be alright at Flemington but that's a country course.
stratford,6 20: a similar story to the first race.VELVET MAKER is hard to assess on form, but has a top pilot on board in barry o neill.also ran quite well in this last year,so not all may be lost on him..e w possible.
