I think it's a reaction to the MSM obsession with certain clubs, and their perception that fans of ALL clubs want to read about them. They don't. We're ****ing sick to the back teeth of them, and the local pondlife who 'support' them.
You have a good point there. The PL also in general is devoid of Brit players. Still, seems odd to me that there's so much antagonism towards both supporters of other teams and the other teams themselves which is taking up so much energy. It's the exhibited intensity that puzzles me. Have a hierarchy of teams in your portfolio of support, with obvious leanings, but exhibiting the degree of hatred observed baffles me Enjoy the game is my philosophy.
