Keeping everyone else afloat but still so far behind them that they haven't got a realistic chance of catching them and competing regularly. Maybe some people enjoy a league where 6 teams (and that's being generous) are competing and the others are just there to make up the numbers but long term its going to be damaging and result in an European Super League being created and all the 'big clubs' ****ing off. They managed to see where football was headed in terms of money, and made the most of it, while other clubs missed out on the gravy train. That, combined with the fact they had a ridiculous amount of very good youngsters coming through at the right time meant they became financial powerhouses and in comparison to other teams in the league were virtually unstoppable. Fair play to them, I'm not bitter at all about that, and yes there is a difference but my point is that if you look at spending since the PL came in, Man Utd would be as far ahead of the rest of the teams, as City are to them, and in the end whats the difference for the rest of us? Once the pecking order is established unless you have a billionaire owner coming in a la City/Chelsea then you are ****ed. You can overtake them for a season or two but end of the day they can spend, spend and spend until they overcome their troubles.
Hazard confirms he’s just waiting for two clubs to agree thing sbefore he’s off then. Be a huge loss for them as hes the one that unlocks things for them.
