According to the BBC: "Midfielder Ward-Prowse and forward Redmond will remain with the England squad for training." [until they sign for Liverpool].

 

I'd say Maguire has been an England regular for a while now. It will probably help, but at the same time there is a reason a lot of the England players play at the biggest and best teams. They tend to be pretty good and with the rules around home grown players the big teams need them so why wouldn't they try and sign the best English players?

 

Happy for all of ours to get a good break this summer. Fitness will be key next season.

Stoke sack Saido Berahino. He has 3 years left on his contract.

 

Won't be long before another mug signs him up and pays him £40K a week.

 

I think though he must need help. 3 Drink drive convictions now since 2012?! he has a problem and maybe rather than sacking him, the club could seek the help that he obviously needs. Once is totally stupid, twice is a bit ridiculous, but three convictions for drink in 7 years tells me he has a serious alcohol problem.

 

He fell apart after the failed Spurs transfer. Maybe has depression, and deals with it by drinking. I can't have too much sympathy though, three times is just a kick in the teeth for his friends, relatives & fans. What a waste of a career. And the end will be approaching fast if he doesn't change something quick.

 

Perhaps the club have already tried therapy etc, and its just not getting through to him, or hes refusing help? Seems an arrogant bell so wouldn't surprise ne.

 

I bet stoke have tried to help him as they have money tied up in him but there are limits to anyone’s patience. Sometimes you have to take responsibility for yourself and you may need to hit rock bottom to do that.

 

Yep you can't help someone who won't help themself.
