I always think back to the match at Birmingham a couple of seasons ago when Torres was brought off by Rafa when Liverpool were losing and he and Gerrard looked at each other as if to say 'what the **** is going on' after that he seemed to go downhill. Its a real shame as thinking back to those first few seasons he was a fantastic player and scored some brilliant goals. I will never understand why he went to Chelsea and then to say it was his 'dream team' is just a joke.I mean how could Chelsea be any buggers dream team? It's only the lure of money which I didnt think was his priority especially when after he got married he said something along the lines of (explaining why he didn't sell his wedding to OK or Hello magazines at a time when Rooney had ) that they wanted a quiet wedding and because he is lucky to earn a lot of money didn't feel it right to push it into the normal fans face!! When I read that I thought how refreshing it was and that he had the right attitude...boy was I wrong. Could he come back? No never I think his next move will be back to spain where he will just disappear into obscurity.
If Torres had left quiety and respectfully, then maybe I would consider his return. But his complete disrespect for Liverpool is unforgivable. I do believe if he did return, he would score goals as our system suits him.
We got £5.5 million for Yossi from Roman. Would you believe that £67.5 million of the money we've recouped since January has come from Chelsea?
No I wouldn't have him back, we're better off without him. He should have seen that our new owners were going to back us properly, we brought Suarez in before he had handed in his transfer request but decided to go anyway and now he is having an awful time and risks being unhappy for many a season cos Chelsea can't just let him go for £20m now, they've paid too much to sell him on.
I appear to have left my Kleenex at home. This is the only thing that prevents me crying tears of sadness for poor Nando's plight. Honestly.
I just love any situation that reinforces my belief in the existence of karma. His sulking face brings an unexplained joy to my heart. Does anyone know if the Chelsea fans still bring the El Nino flag with The Shankly Gates on it to the ground still or do they only support their players through the good times?
the thing about torres has to be weighed on many levels. first they had obviously tapped him up and perpared a massive publicity campaign on the back of the signing intedned to get thier campaign last year back on track. Said massive publicity unfortunatly included them being really cheap in the banners but the interviews they did. they went out of their way to have a go... which promplty led them to get thrashed by us. at this point skertl is right karma has its way of working. which is better us wasting 35mil of the fee on a bench warmer who has scored a few goals or them putting another 50mil down the drain for one goal.
I don't know if its just me, but I've a feeling that Andy Carroll will come good. He's got the tools to be not a world class striker, but a very good one.
I'll back Andy regardless of the fee. He's one of those strikers who if opposition supporters see his name on the team sheet they're apprehensive. I remember I was when he was a Newcastle player. Some time spent perfecting his trade, attaining peak fitness and learning to adapt to the team and the team learning his game also and I believe we'll have a gem on our hands. Unplayable on his day.
Who cares about Torres. He made his bed and now he has to lie in it. End of. Next.....................
Agree with you was thinking that the other day as well He will end up in the Italian league erm Juventus or AC 1 of them 2
I think he said he wanted to play in Italy too, earlier in his career with us. Should have seen the signs back then, ah well.
Chelsea may be old and slow, but Serie A isn't exactly lightning fast is it. He has ruined his career leaving Liverpool, as did Owen.
