Took my grandkids to beautiful Roath Park today, said “let’s feed the ducks”. Now you’re not allowed to feed the ducks with bread anymore as it attracts rats apparently! Never seen them there mind, so it might be a fugging lie, who knows? They will sell you duck food however normally 50p a bag! However in these days of austerity they have upped the price by 40% to 70p! Thing is the ducks seemed very hungry and wouldn’t leave Masky be...seems that nobody is buying this food! Thought I’d mention it Pals! Fug me, austerity eh? :emoticon-0103-cool:

Hate to be the bearer of bad news Masky, but feeding ducks bread does not give them the nutrients they need to live a healthy life. Bread left in the water is also bad for the local environment where wildlife is concerned. The parkie who stopped tou feeding them bread was correct. Try oats or potatoes, not sure if you need to boil, roast or steam them first. ;)

20p is not going to change my life BFB/BT and whoever else you are pals FFS! Austerity apparantly means tighten your belt, and this represents an outrageous increase! Poor fugging ducks will starve now, Masky is a principled guy! :emoticon-0103-cool:
Anyway you know I’m not tight, especially after the other night pal...ouch!

    Who you talking to?

BT has been riding (his bike so he said, en Francais) and there are numerous pictures on FB to prove it.

Me, not left UK but did a 10k run at Avemore near Swindon on Sunday. Again loads of less than flattering pictures on FB.

At last the truth will out if you can access those pictures Masky Man. Ah, but you can't as you're not our FB friend. You will just have to trust me. :emoticon-0136-giggl

Absolutely right taff. Furthermore, dry bread is bad for any bird.
Now you and I should form a Bluebirds ornithology comittee. You can be Bill Oddie and I'll be ill body!

@clingo I must admit, I do like to look at the birds...
@Masky I fully understand your displeasure. An increase of 40% is scandalous, I recall berating the local laundry shop for increasing the cost of ironing my shirts by 50% I was outraged and let him know in my own style, before charging out and slamming the door like a petulant child. I mean 10 baht per shirt was ok, but 15 baht! Never, I tell ya, never.

I'll let you guys do the currency conversion... :D

You'd have been robbed even more Masky if you bought an ice cream from that West Country ice cream place near the cafe. £2-80 for a single scoop and £3-80 for a double! No wonder there was no-one in the queue yesterday. The Mr Whippy seller on the other side however was doing a roaring trade.
