I can't pin down why I would rather have Derby back in the PL than Villa. I think it might be the white shirts. It's all a bit vague really.
Well done Villa How many times have Derby lost in the play offs since beating us and being the worst Prem team ever?
Credit to Grealish. Could have jumped ship when they got relegated. Stayed with them for three seasons down there.
Shame, wanted Lampard to take Derby up. Although Villa are clearly a better side and thoroughly deserved it.
To be fair to him, he has knuckled down & been brilliant. Not a moments trouble. They had an agreement that he'd be allowed to leave this summer if they didn't go up. I fully expect him to sign a new deal now.
Yeah seems most likely, although could argue that if teams like Spurs are interested now then why risk it and wait a season when he might not perform/they sign someone else. His stock can't improve that much if they want him now.
So the play-offs have been bitter sweet for Charlton and Villa. 12 months ago both were licking their wounds. Now they are in 7th Heaven!!
I wouldn't care if our players were a bunch of meth addicts, as long as they showed some bloody loyalty.
Redmond and JWP have been left out if the nations league squad ... Barkley and delph have been included. What on earth?
Why are you surprised? Barkley is better than both of them and hasn't been in terrible form and Delph is a consistent performer for Southgate, much like when Welbeck used to be picked all the time. Seemed to me like getting Redmond and JWP in the preliminary squad was about keeping them in and around the team
Well at least they’ll have had a few days being indoctrinated into the big club culture before being told they need to join one to be an England regular.
