When it's a choice between a loose cannon or a suicide vest then there's no contest.

I'm happy to leave the EU but voted remain because nobody could tell me what leave meant (leave means leave was just a load of bollocks from those who didn't know what it meant but we're too naive or scared to say they didnt), or how leave was facilitated. 3 years on and we still don't. I think my vote was the project manager in me. What are we trying to achieve (what are the goals / objectives) and how are we going to achieve it (what is the plan)?

Politicians have taken a good wedge for 50 odd years for tinkering around the edges and arguing with each other. For the first time in that period, they actually had something meaningful to achieve and they demonstrated their collective incompetence.
Its all been about the politicians and nothing to do with the people.
Brexit should have been a cross party initiative supported by captains of industry. Too much division within each party on leave or remain.
There would still have been issues, but we'd have been out by now.
Time to bite the bullet, get out, clear up the mess and totally reform the political structure of the country.
As someone else said, next election adopt the brewsters millions approach to casting your vote, NONE OF THE ABOVE!

HOW THEY work out the seats
    eg
    BREXIT ...................................38% ……….19% ….. 12.7% …… 9.5% ………… 9.5%
    LABOUR...…………………………...18% …………………….9% …………………………… 9%
    CONSERVES ……………………….12% ……………………………………………………… 6%
    LIB DEM …………………………. 11% ………………………………………………………… 11%
    GREENS …………………………… 9% ………………………………………………………….. 9%
OTHERS ……………………………. 12% DIVIDED BY BY 3 OR 4 CANDIDATES
5 SEATS UP FOR GRABS SO
ROUND 1 === BREXIT WINS THEIR SHARE DROPS BY HALF
ROUND 2 ==== BREXIT HAVE 19% so BREXIT WIN 2nd seat original vote divided by 3
ROUND 3 ====LABOUR HAVE 18% so WIN 3RD SEAT vote halved

ROUND 4 ==== BREXIT HAVE 12.7% so WIN the 4th seat and vote divided by 4
ROUND 5 ====CONSERVES HAVE 12% so WIN 5th seat vote halved
ROUND 6==== if there is one = % above would apply Lib dems get 1 ….. their vote then 5.5% Brexit next 4th seat etc their vote would drop to 7.6% etc etc
    depending on the fractional % ... ie 9.5% is actually 9.5375% or 7.6% is actually 7.6 242% or 7.6 2419% determines each "apparent equal % "
above labour and greens have 9% greens might be .001% better or worse than labour hope fully better!

I like What Esther McVey has said about what she would do if she gets the PM job. She wouldnt go back to the EU. She would try and get the deal done thats already been agreed with the EU. Or we will leave with no deal. The date in October will remain. She will not seek any further extensions. However if the EU want to come back to us to reopen talk, she will welcome that. So if you are right that it will look a probability that we will leave on a no deal, the EU will want to discuss reopening negotiations because it is in their best interests to have a deal with us than no deal.

what was TM up against … no deal is better than a bad deal! … a couple of the links [one in particular] I put up regarding Brussels a national from another country stated " the uk leaving is like 19 of the smaller countries all leaving on the same day" ...I would have said 21, but guess he had been listening to that record …! nnnnnnnnnineteeen

If we leave on a no deal then we leave on WTO but can still negotiate a deal with the EU. But we are free to start making deals with the rest of the world which is bigger than the EU. Here is where the EU needs us more than we need them because we can still get deals done in a bigger market than the EU (which is the rest of the world) and who wouldn't want to trade with us when we have the 4th or 5th best economy? So in reality, the EU door shuts and we lose X amount of money from them but there will be so many rest of the world doors opening up and we can gain X amount of money. Which in the short term, as I already said previously, there will be short term pain while setting up all these deals but there will be long term gain where the market with the rest of the world is bigger than just the EU. So we would be better off in the long run especially once we eventually get a deal with the EU because they will want a deal as they would have lost us but gained what in our place? Nothing! There is my point. While our economy takes a hit but then improves as we grow with the rest of the world, the EU takes a hit and don't grow afterwards. When we eventually get a deal with the EU, that will boost our economy even further up while the EU is still trying to rebuild theirs. They need us more than we need them.

I have to say what a terrible terrible interview by Andrew Marr and just goes to show how bad the BBC are. I am not keen on Farage but I think he handled it brilliantly and made Marr and the BBC look a biased corrupt organisation. Well done to you Farage. I tip my hat to you with this interview. When Farage worked out what Marr was up to, the questions just got cringe worthy to watch. I honestly don't know how Jeremy Corbyn, Diane Abbott, Theresa May, Boris Johnson or anyone else would have handled that but I know they wouldn't have managed it as well as Farage did. The more I am seeing Farage, the more I wished a PM would be as strong as him.

"but there will be so many rest of the world doors opening up and we can gain X amount of money" - which countries do you plan making improved deals with then? Which new massive economies are going to be giving us these great deals outside of the EU? Bearing in mind in leaving the EU, we also leave their deals with Japan, South Korea, Mexico, etc. We might get deals with those countries, but it will take 8 years and be worse terms than the EU given how much larger than us they are as a bloc. So you're relying on Russia (lol) China (good luck) and the US. Brilliant.

Leaving the EU means we can make our own trade deals. Great, I bet we'll be laughing our heads off at our free trade deal with Madagascar.

I don't plan to do any <ok> Who said the economies outside the EU are massive? I didn't. But add them altogether though then you may see the bigger picture. Yes I know leaving the EU will mean we also leave the current deals. But you just said it yourself, we will get new deals of our own with these countries. And why would it take 8 years? Do you have a crystal ball? If so, why are you a City supporter as surely your ball would have told you what will happen next season <whistle><laugh><ok> I know deals have taken as long as this before or longer but that doesn't mean it will for us. After all, we are the 4th/5th biggest economy in the world and these countries will want in on that asap. But for the record, I have said a few times now that I know it will take an element of time to set it all up, hence me saying short term pain for long term gain. And it may not be a worse deal than what they have with the EU. We could get the same terms or better. Yet more scaremongering!

However, there is something we all have forgot to include in our predictions/opinions etc. I believe we can, with short term pain for long term gain, thrive outside the EU. But here is where it could go wrong and the likes of you will say I told you so. We have an opportunity to make it work. But who will be doing these negotiations? Who will be setting up these trade deals? Boris? <laugh> I am laughing but its not even funny! I don't trust parliament to run a bath at the moment let alone run the Country and set up these deal to make us thrive. But if we had someone strong to handle it like Farage, it would be me saying I told you so <ok>

Farage says he doesn't want the PM job. Would be interesting to see if that's what he truly feels.

So far, just hearing little snippets of statements from some of the interested MP's who wants the PM job, Esther McVey is the one so far who I would prefer.

Rob, first results coming in. Its for Leeds, Sedgemoor and Chelmsford. All 3 area's have voted for the Brexit party.

These are just local area's though. Not yet totalled up for each region. Total in each region matters, not each local area.

The North East region is complete. Brexit Party won and had 39% of the votes. Labour way off in the distance came 2nd. Lib Dems 3rd, Greens 4th and Tories 5th, Ukip 6th and CUK last <laugh>

Interesting to note that Brexit Party are up 4% v UKIP last time around, which makes the Green/Lib Dem gains larger. Not that the BBC want to spin it that way of course!

East of England result in.... Brexit party won with 38% of the votes.

Lack of knowledge here but I don't understand how Brexit only got 3 MEP seats and Lib Dems got 2 seats but Brexit got over double the votes than the Lib Dems so why have they only got just 1 more seat than Lib Dems?
