I will choose your new Prime Minister with care on behalf of this political forum.

He or she will need to be a committed Brexiteer willing to walk away without a deal if one is unavailable. There are several excellent candidates to chose from.

  2. Those excellent candidates need to speak up - at the moment nobody knows they exist.

Seems as though Raab wants to lead a Tory party that he will reduce to a bit player alongside Farage. Electoral pact! Oh dear, that rules him out on the first day. Next please!

Wow. Philip Hammond not ruling out bringing down Tory PM who goes for No Deal. “This is a very difficult situation, it would not just challenge not just me, but many of our colleagues, and I hope we never get to that position.” Pushes up odds of autumn election.

Hammond obviously realises his days as Chancellor are numbered, he will be replaced by the new Brexiteer PM immediately for his obstructive actions during the negotiations.

Another cabinet minister says he would be prepared to bring the government down if a no deal PM tried to do it. Plenty of back benchers have already it made it clear they would do so, therefore it doesn't make sense for a minority government to even try it on. Which Tory party would a voter choose in a general election? The vote would split, and Labour with a coalition would be pretty certain to take over from this shambolic internal dog fight.

Well if you are a democrat you had better follow the chosen wishes of the majority.. Of course that will never happen!

Anyway the grey rinses will be eminent deciders... [emoji6]

Raab came across really well on the Andrew Marr show. The Labour spokesperson on the other hard had a car crash of an interview. After being asked why Labour had lost so many votes in the European elections she proceeded to defend free movement as a future policy of a potential Labour government. No wonder all those Labour voters in the North that voted for Brexit have now switched to Farage.

Marr found it necessary to quote from the recent infamous The Institute for Government report several times.

Tom Watson has slammed his colleagues in the Labour Party for their muddled approach to Brexit, he claims they will suffer their worst electoral defeat in 35 years in the European elections. Watching their spokesperson suffer on the Andrew Marr show I can understand his frustration. The splits in the LP are worse than the Tories, they will ultimately be unable to capitalise on the Tories present difficulties.

The lowest percentage of a national vote ever received by the Tories was 24% in the last EU election. Some commentators think they could set a new record low to go with their ever largest defeat in a Commons vote.

I don't think you are being very nice to those in your party who voted to remain, and still hold that it would be better for the country at large. Still there you go, rats in a sack.

It is also a reminder for MPs in other parties that have let their constituents down recently after previously promising to respect democracy.

Currently it looks as if the leading contenders are the ones from the soft Brexit side of the party. BoJo and Rabb will not even make the last two.

First prognosis to the results in Germany:
    CDU 28.0%
    Green Party 22% <cheers>
    SPD 15.5%
    AfD 10.5%
    Die Linke 5.5%
    FDP 5.5%

The first exit polls are expected in 10 mins. If these are correct then this is our best result in Germany for these elections - 10% up on 2014. The AfD have not done as well as they were expecting.

Similar in some respects as in Holland. The right wing will do well in some countries, but have been exposed for what they are in others.
