    Tranmere score a 119th minute header to win 1-0 at Wembley in the League Two play-off final.

    Happy for them. I remember them being in L1 with us back in 2010 before their descent into non-league. Good to see them back in the third tier.

    Ah, John Aldridge...

    My abiding memory of Saints against Tranmere is the 2009/10 season in League One. The Sky Sports vidiprinter said Papa Waigo had scored a late penalty to win the game 2-1, sparking me into celebration, before updating to say that it was in fact Tranmere who had scored a late winner from the penalty spot instead.

    That hurt 14-year-old me quite a lot at the time.

    Don’t. I lived in the NW then. At half time of that replay, I invited all my Liverpool supporting mates over for a BBQ for the quarter final... Saints v Liverpool on the Sunday.

    Oh feck. B’stards Kept ringing me on the Sunday morning asking what time the bbq was :(

    First game I ever went to, and the only game I went to at the Dell, was against Tranmere. It finished 0-0 after we had multiple goals disallowed.
