Thought he did ok myself. A far better outlet going forward than Hill or Connolly and, other than one ****-up when he should have just cleared it, did nothing too terrible.

I thought this thread was related to his injury!
I thought he was cracking, how nice is it for us to finally have fullbacks that present a threat?
You can really tell he's an Arsenal player.
Plays heads up football, looks to pick out a pass an overlap.

Yes, you could see Connolly was a bit out of his depth alright.

Not worried at all. Thought he played well. A couple of lapses, but it's his first game. Looked good going forward, hopefully he'll be fit for Wolves.

Gooner here. Saw this thread about Traore, and i can tell you that he will be a good player for you. His attacking play has never been in question because he is calm and can pick a cross. His problem has always been defending. And maybe needs a bit of coaching because at Arsenal he cleary was not getting any because he is still the same player in that aspect since the first time i watched him in the CC. Also i doubt he will get exposed as much as he did at Arsenal although playing ahead of Taarabt is not going to give the cover he would really want. But with some coaching and getting more games i am sure he will become decent at defending. But he has all the tools to be a very good wing back come full back.

Connolly looked well out of his depth - hope we only need him in an emergency, and that the emergency never happens again, as I can see him getting ripped apart by a better class of opposition

Thought he looked great and I don't agree with the Connolly knocking because IMO he did a good job!

    Traore is quality.

Our best left back since Ian Dawes.

You don't come from Arsenal in this day & age without having a very special talent.

It's not like 20 years ago.

Warnock will nurture him in the coming months, ( and the others )

This is the best QPR team for 16 years.

    Let's enjoy it, whatever happens.

QPR999 is right, Traore looked quality to me as well. Team was excellent, midfield was unbelievably good at times.

Just one worry: Jude the Cat, he looked overweight, off the pace and well past his sell by date. We need to bring in a replacement fast!

Agree with the Arsenal guy that Traore has to polish his defending. Brilliant going forward imo and his speed means he recovers quickly when he's made a gaff or caught out of position. Confident ball skills too.

Played much better than I expected and looking forward to seeing him grow now he has the opportunity.

How good was Luke young too?
I was very suprised; i expected him to be another defesnive grunt, but he poses a decent attacking threat and is pretty skillful.
I just worry what might happen should one of them get injured- hopefully Keiron Dyer will be back in the fold shortly!

Traore is most definitely not a very special talent, the guy is an abysmal player. His positional sense is beyond terrible and his tackling is pretty weak too. He is the product of what happens when a winger is turned in to a full back and it goes wrong.

He may have had a poor time at Arsenal but he's at QPR now and gets to play on view with a set of passionate fans think that will help him as it does wonders... The problem with the Emirates is that it takes players souls away it's not a fortress at all ... A real shame really and a sad reflection on how football has gone and what Arsenal now have to aspire to. I used to like watching Arsenal and I hope you get it back that will start when you lot can get behind your team again
We are a team on the up at the mo and the players involved in that you can clearly see are responding to that
Best of luck with the transition

Traore looked very good. He does need to work on his positioning at times, but he was excellent on the ball and is very quick! We need his pace in the Prem more than anything else.

Traore is very good on the ball and linked up well when we attacked. Looks a quality player but will hold judgment until games when we are under the cosh and his defensive abilities are tested.

I thought he did well. It looks like it will be a confidence thing with him. He looked nervous at times , but remember his last time out he conceded 8 and got run ragged by a great team.

Have to say what a difference having some pace at the back made. We could defend a bit higher up the pitch. Also i have never seen paddy kenny throw the ball out to the FB's so much, what a pleasure to see that , rahter than hoofball all the time. It enabled the ball to be played through the middle and played to our strengths.

I think everyone on the board has stated we were in dyer need of two decent fullbacks and we definitely have two now.

I think Luke Young was close to MOM imo. Ali and SWP had great games and beat him to it.
