Monza was the third race in a row when Vettel has had to make a competitive on the track overtake on Alonso. In Hungary it was for the then 3rd position and using DRS to get alongside and overtake on the outside, but in Spa and Monza it was without DRS and to take the lead. Finally getting to see what he can deliver in situations when his car is setup to make overtaking a possibility (not massively slow on straights).
good point but that Ferrari is a sitting Duck to the Red Bulls and the McLarens. Alonso has done well to get it on the Podium. On the matter of the quick starts, This reminds me alot of the Renault which always made great ground on the start before thier championship winning years.
In Martin Brundles words "Passing Ferrari's Fernando Alonso at 200mph half on the grass around the outside of the Curva Grande and then completing the move braking up the inside of the second chicane should put that one to bed nicely." There is no doubt that Vettel can race and overtake just as well as any other driver on the grid, and anyone who disagrees is kidding themselves.
And on another day he would of smashed his car in. He got away with it this time, although it was the best overtake of the weekend in my opinion.
the last time Seb crashed into someone when overtaking was 13 months ago at Spa last year and that was because it was wet!!!
