Gerrard was there for us at the beginning of our decent spell last season. He played when we beat Chelsea and United, the latter being his final game. If we are playing better without him, it's probably because we're working more as team and passing it around more as opposed to the 'if in doubt, pass it to Steven' tactics. There's a little more fluency there, but there's no reason it can't continue once he comes back.
