Please vote as you say you wanted to vote Brexit party, you have until 10:00pm The bottom line is these politicians who have not honoured the vote need a good pasting and that is happening today. Democracy was dead, today you and I have our chance to get it back. Don’t matter who you party is we need to teach them a lesson, don’t mess with the British electorates wishes.
I can't vote for Corbyn the man lies and turns my stomach, I can't vote for May she is bloody awful and creates disater where there was calm, Libreals, Greens and the turncoats are opposite completely to my point of view, UKIP are a busted flush and I am not a fan of Farage, I am just going to go up and see what the rest are or may end up in the pub and I bet there are a lot of people that have the same problem as me.
Is this a bad thing? Having just returned to the UK after 6.5 years in Australia, they have a pay system as well and it works really well. There are so many doctors surgeries to choose from and the wait times for scans etc are minimal, usually days or a week at most. Yes you pay for it, but you get what you pay for, and I’m a fan of that!! Perhaps the free loaders who are bleeding the NHS dry, suddenly wont need so much attention when they have to pay for it....
I appreciate the post RR. But I'm just enjoying this moment right now of you whinging about the 'unelected mob' literally in a thread about EU elections.
I know an Australian, who lived in the US and now lives here. He got injured while over here and he honestly could not believe how good the service was. He was ranting to all of us about how he was barely even checked as to who he was, they just wanted to help him, and he was constantly shouting about how 'that British NHS is ****ING OUTSTANDING' to all of our amusement. The concept of just rocking up to a hospital, getting life saving treatment and barely being checked as to who he was just blew his mind. I see that as an incredibly British thing and something we should be so bloody proud of. I also have a mate who suffers from seizures and his medication would be £10,000+ a year under the American health system. Nah. We have the best healthcare system in the world and it is considered that way for a reason. If it was properly funded (i.e. not some bull**** 'austerity' which the Tories claimed we needed), we would not have this problem.
Great if you have the money, bit of a **** if you don’t, health care based on need not the ability to pay is a fundamental part of our society , anything else is abhorrent in my view.
I know you are bored of it all and I feel that way too, so I won't bore you further here apart from to say I disagree with it going back to the people yet again. People say the leave side lied. Both sides lied. Both sides exaggerated many things. Both as bad as each other. However, this is nothing different to how all parties act in general/local elections. So voters had to do their research and do what they felt right by them. However, a leaflet by the Tories, who were very pro remain, spent over £9 million of tax payers money to advise every single household what leave would mean. It would mean leaving the customs union and leaving the single market. Also every single politician on both sides of the argument, in every single interview and tv debate leading up to the referendum said the same, we would leave the customs union and single market. It was clear that a deal with the EU was preferable but no deal was better than a bad deal. So forget the lies from both sides. Forget the exaggeration and scaremongering from both sides. Just look at the facts on that leaflet that every single household had. We all had the same info. People knew what they were voting for. Their reasons for their vote would vary of course. Some for control of the borders. Some for control of our own laws. Some to shove 2 fingers up at the government to show their frustrations against the establishment. Either way, the vote was serious and we were all told many times and was on that leaflet that it was a once in a generation vote. The government said they would implement leave if it was voted for. Then came the referendum. Record numbers of voters for it. Democracy as we know it was going to be tested. Here are the key facts... Forget the lies, exaggerations and scaremongering. Just look at the facts. Parliament chose to let the people decide leave or remain. Its OUR decision. Parliament said they would implement the decision. Parliament said its a once in a generation vote. So no other referendums. Leave won the referendum. That's leave 1 remain 0. New PM arrives. Then came a general election. Over 80% of votes at that election were for parties who said on their manifesto that they will still implement the referendum vote. So that's 2 votes now that has favoured Leave! That's leave 2 remain 0. Parliament then voted to start article 50. They were actually implementing the referendum decision. The Tories fuk up the negotiations and constantly waste time kicking their can down the road. Parliament votes to take no deal off the table which means we lost our advantage in the negotiations. Parties decided they actually prefer to remain and accuse voters of not knowing what we voted for and demand another peoples vote, betraying the referendum result. Many politicians betraying their constituents who voted in favour of leave. These politicians saying another vote would be the final vote. Meaning if remain win then they do it on 1 result. But leave needs 3 wins for it to actually be implemented. Democracy is dead because their is no trust in our politicians who are all corrupt. We can never again believe a single thing a politician says. For me, I voted leave. But im split now how I would vote if there was another referendum. Im 50% leave for democracy sake. 50% remain because I can't trust these politicians to run a bath let alone actually run the UK without help from the EU. So I think I would actually not vote again. What is the point. Whoever loses will cry and kick off demanding another vote because a precedent would have been set now. Democracy is dead. For the record, I did not vote today in the European elections as we shouldn't have been here in the first place and I hope there are record numbers of non voters.
No one is saying that we should have another referendum because they lied though. It's not really that relevant. What people say is that they should have another referendum because leave cheated. And they did so in a really bad way (partially through overspending, but mainly through Cambridge Analytica/AggregateIQ), and it was all funded by foreign money. You can't have a side win by cheating and funded by foreigners and then claim that it's British democracy. Whatever our differences, it's always best to vote if you can bring yourself to do it.
Remember these ~ 1. The idea of an EU army was a dangerous fantasy 2. Voting to leave the EU would have an immediate detrimental effect on the UK’s economy 3. An emergency budget would be necessary upon a Leave vote being delivered 4. Britain would be at the “back of the queue” for a US trade deal 5. The UK would break up following a vote to leave 6. Article 50 would be triggered immediately 7. This was a once in a generation decision, and there would be no going back 8. A hard border would be required in Ireland if there was a no-deal Brexit 9. The UK, through Cameron’s negotiation, had “secured a special status in a reformed EU.” 10. Migrant camps would appear throughout South East England 11. Families would be £4,300 worse off if Britain left the EU http://www.dailyglobe.co.uk/comment/the-many-lies-of-the-remain-campaign/ Oh I forgot Cameron and leave would lead to the start of world war 3 https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/brexit-could-trigger-world-war-7928607
1. The idea of an EU army was a dangerous fantasy We (the UK) have a veto on this. We can block it. 2. Voting to leave the EU would have an immediate detrimental effect on the UK’s economy Our economy has gone from the fastest growing to the slowest growing in the G7 3. An emergency budget would be necessary upon a Leave vote being delivered ^ 4. Britain would be at the “back of the queue” for a US trade deal We don't have a single trade deal yet 5. The UK would break up following a vote to leave Scotland anyone? 6. Article 50 would be triggered immediately 7. This was a once in a generation decision, and there would be no going back 8. A hard border would be required in Ireland if there was a no-deal Brexit If we want to check goods, this IS required 9. The UK, through Cameron’s negotiation, had “secured a special status in a reformed EU.” This wasn't a lie. It was just a **** status 10. Migrant camps would appear throughout South East England 11. Families would be £4,300 worse off if Britain left the EU No deal will result in being even more worse off than this in my opinion I mean.... that is an abysmal list considering half of them are factually incorrect. Not opinion. Fact. There's a skill in not just reading but analysing to check that what you're reading is actually truthful. That is an abysmal link I'm afraid. I'll grant you the WW3 thing was a stupid thing to say but let's not pretend Cameron was anything over than a crap politician! Working late tonight so at least this has given me some fun distraction!
Yeah and the Tory’s have had mine since 1979 until today when the Lib Dem’s had it and my wife’s who has never voted before in her life
How long are the wait times for scans etc if you don’t have the money to pay for them? Genuine question
All I wanted to demonstrate is there are two sides to every story, I've just done it, by your activated response you have illuminated that you have been well influenced, I hope you don't mind if I base mine on a long, practical experience in life and wish you well.
You presented an argument, I debunked a chunk of them (I can provide sources if need be). That doesn't equate to an equal argument I'm afraid wiz. Facts /= opinions. For what it's worth, some of them are genuinely true of course.
