The thing is though mate I'm not expecting too much because I know that funds are just not there yet to spend millions on new players.
Surely that depends on where we are and what investment they can bring in? They've been quite clear that they can't bank roll us
Me neither, but the rumours that he is trying to cash in are gathering pace. If he does he's made a few quid and hopefully we get a new owner hopefully with a few quid.
Nothing in that to upset me at all. Love the liberal use of the word admit haha! They've been brilliant, we were ****ed, it's all good!
That nonce comment has me wetting myself. What a bunch of ****ing weirdos on me. That meant to say on here. In the context of nonces, thats unfortunate.
What a genuinely terrible peice of journalism - they took a two paragraph story and warbled on for two pages repeating themselves time and again. Nobody will take too much notice of that crap mainly because it is pretty much incomprehensible. Nothing story from a no mark journo for a fading rag.
IIRC the new owners said immediately that the parachute payments would pay Short off, if the income wasn't raised some other way. What a ****ing non-story. From the filthy rag which headlined "Hurrah for the Blackshirts" before the Second World War and has just about stayed just there with its view of immigration, foreigners, etc. Or as the Netflix taxi-driver put it "TORY BASTARDS!"
stewart was on the phone on radio today, with Benno etc and will keep us updated with the finance and the fail has been banned.
I have understood that our owners were virtually given SAFC, including it's assets, by Short, who, in exchange for some of the parachute payment, wiped out the existing debt. This was all published at the time. And this is what The Mail, having employed FOUR 'investigative journalists' to dig out the story, is telling us almost a year later. Perhaps The Mail could do worse than to employ our owners to look into THEIR rather inefficient organisation before they get reported to trading standards for falsely portraying stories as NEWS.
