    Already have, mate. 4 journos worked on this non-article and they've gone to some lengths to say no rules were broken and that it was an arm's-length transaction with Ellis Short. So what's the problem? How would you guys feel if someone made a few bob getting Ashley to cancel his debt and sell the club? TBH we're well chuffed with SD & CM...

    Absolutely - as I said, makes for good business for everyone, but perhaps casts a little doubt on the initial motives of just being "decent blokes" - no real issues at all to be honest from me

    There is always a funny punchline with Sunderland. You have Lee Bowyer as the latest ex mag plotting their downfall. Joey Barton didn't help their mood much. Bowyer is a bit calmer these days but you can bet he'll enjoy turning them over. Of course in the past you've had Darren Bent in a bra, Mendonca ****ing the club he supported as a boy. Its a pretty long list, there is always a funny angle whether it be ex players or ex mag players. I think we should all respect how they are truly the gift that keeps on giving.

    We owe them a great debt. In hard times they have really come through with ways to keep our spirits up. There is no better healer than comedy. Sunderland AFC are able to provide this in abundance, even if it is not their intention.

    Mendonca got death threats for his transgression. They don't like to talk about though, you know how they like to try and get to the moral high ground.
