Our health is our wealth, mate. Can't put a price on that. I've got a big water filter that's set me back over 200 quid but its the dogs bollox and holds way more than the jugs you can pick up. They're still good mind. Anything is better than drinking straight from the tap.
@PISKIE @Simple Saffy Mine is BPA free. Lost my **** the other day because someone at work stuck my leftover food in a non-BPA tupperware. **** is trying to kill me off pulling that type of bullshit
Yeah, I totally agree, Where it all changed for me was when I was talking to a butcher and he told me that if meat comes in with cancer on it, they just cut out the lump and still sell it. He said no butcher wastes meat. Supermarkets inject it with **** so I'll never buy meat from there. I'm in the countryside and my mates have allotments. One of them brings me a chicken down every month so I can skin it and check the meat myself, then I know it's alright that way. I couldn't be a vegan, I think not having milk or eggs is a bit silly. It's the killing of animals for meat that I struggle with. I won't buy eggs from caged hens neither, that's a shocking life for them.
Same here fella. Lucky to have access to great local produce here, so I know where all of my meat, eggs, dairy etc are coming from. Also living by the sea, the seafood is abundant. That said, my missus is a vegetarian so I don't really cook meat at home that often. Mentioned it before on here, but if you're going to eat meat, it's worth considering game. Things like pheasant, venison, rabbit etc. They are about as wild as it gets, no hormones, antibiotics, crap conditions, intensive farming etc.
Yeah great idea. I get rabbit around here too. It's lovely. My Mrs is also veggie. There's a place that specialises in selling game meat next to me but it's frozen which kind of defeats the object of it eating fresh, for me.
Dirty old **** I was in Newcastle last Wednesday waiting for my client to finish work and come and meet me so we could go on the piss. The bar was right in the middle of several halls of residence. I felt like a ****ing ***** in there
Yeah, freezing isn't the worst thing in the world though. Sometimes meat and veg etc sold 'fresh' can be a few days or even weeks old. Whereas food that's blast frozen after it's been produced tends to keep more of the nutrients intact. That said, you need to be careful about buying stuff like 'fresh' fish from supermarket counters, as most of that fish has been sitting in deep freezers for months and then is defrosted to go on show on their 'fresh fish' counters. It's a big con, you'd be better off buying frozen wild fillets. I get my game from a friend in the business, and he gets it from estates that have shot pheasant etc during the week, so I know it's only going to be a couple of days old.
@PISKIE @Simple Saffy Love how all our respective missus' are veggies resulting in us soft ****s tucking into homemade hummus on a regular basis. The things men do for love/to get our hogs funnelled.
There's a few around here now. Just like this https://www.gazettelive.co.uk/news/teesside-news/inside-not-secret-teesside-cannabis-15048409
Yep. Over 100 Cannabis clubs now. They're opening up every day as about 20 pubs a day shut. I know people are looking at opening up closed down pubs as cannabis social clubs. Not a bad idea really.
