QPR vs Toon - My thoughts on the game

  1. My belief that Simmo had the ability was justified tonight, anyone can have a bad spell. He was probably one of our better players tonight IMO, and he didn't back off nearly as much as normal.

Shola is ****ing ****e and i don't know when the **** Newcastle managers are going to leave this Bambi Ameobi fan club.

At the end of the day it's a good point seeing as we were 2nd best in almost every department. Steven Taylor and Simmo saved us with two good blocks off the line.

    My ratings -

Krul - 6 - Didn't have much to do ironically, anything that was threatening goal was cleared by a defender.

Simmo - 7.5 - Good game and hopefully a return to form.

Taylor - 8 - Good game, good clearances and good marking most of the time.

Colo - 8 - Good game. Saved us with some good tackling.

Raylor - 5 - Disappointing performance but everyone that starts ****ting on this bloke after one bad game can go **** themselves.

Obertan - 7.5 - A good game, he threatened QPR, just lacked a final ball, but some decent passing and link up play.

Cabaye - 7 - Some excellent passing and good aggression but he didn't get involved as much as usual.

Tiote - 6.5 - Regardless of what others think, i don't think he was bad. He put in some good tackles, kept the ball well at times, and played a part.

Gutierrez - 7 - Good attacking threat, none of his balls converted and lacked a final product unfortunately.

    Shola - 3 - Gtf0 now!

Best - 7.5 - A good performance, nice skinning of a defender and nearly scored. Played a good part up front. Decent game.

Ba - 7 - Pretty good. Decent play going forward.

    Marveaux - N/A

    Sammy - N/A

MOTM - Taylor. Another pretty much solid performance after the first 20 minutes when Bothroyd beat him to the ball a few times.

Overall - Our ****test performance so far, but at the end of the day, we're 4th with 8 points after 4 games, we defended well after the ****e in the first 20 mins or so, and we have the best defensive record in the prem with Stoke.

A good start to the season. Regardless of whether or not we deserved it, i couldn't give two flying ****s.

The mark of a good team is the ability to be able to weather a storm and grind out points when getting battered for most of a game. <ok>

Taylor was worse then Ameobi... He was making school ball errors, LB are trained from a young age positional play and yet he looked like he didnt have a clue.... Colliccini was having to tell him what to do the whole game.

If that was bad enough he was poor on the ball, giving the ball away at any opportunity......

2 from me from Raylor and worst performance Iv seen of any player this season..

  3. That's a bold statement considering the ****e we've seen from Shola this season...

  5. A bit harsh on Cabaye, he wasn't as lively as usual but he made some excellent passes.

Point away from home is a positive. We should field a 5 man midfield in that situation. Cabaye looked lost most of the game because midfield was so congested with QPR players.

Raylor is a definite weak link, we must admit. Did not look confident on his left foot at all.

Surprised and pleased with Simmo though, excellent game. Staking his claim to keep the right back spot now. twice the full back that Raylor was tonight.

Shola didn't do anything. At all. All game. Ba and Best to start against Villa is a must.

  8. I'm not surprised at Simmo, he played this way most of last season. He just started poorly.

I thought tiote was worse than a 6.5 and saylor was abit better than colo. Raylor was awful. I would give him one more half of football to improve and if hes just as **** then Santon straight in. Agree with most of the ratings though :emoticon-0148-yes:

    Sorry to be downhearted.

But, if we play like that against Villa. We will get spanked.

Shola needs to pull a ****ing finger out. Starting to really grate me now...like really grate me.

toothless again up top, at least we were playing against the likes of bothroyd who is a championship player at best.
Another game that will paint over the cracks for another day.
A point is a point away from home so cant grumble just not looking forward to playing one of the better teams.
