Newcastle broached a swap deal of Phillips and Clarke for Gayle which has been knocked back. Gayle may be worth the outlay but not the prem wages. The only time we pay those wages if we get the player for free....

Prem teams need so many home growns i believe so like un west ham and byram (remember him) they try to fill the quota with cheaper younger players. I do not want gayle he is trouble and bielsa will not want him. I would like us to concentrate on speedy wings and some class in midfield.

This is the weird thing, whilst I agree with you SW, the fact is that despite starting half the number of games as Alioski and Ayling, Douglas provided as many assists as Alioski and only one less than Ayling
