Woodward/Mourinho was the most toxic combination imaginable.

£700m on 3 forgettable trophies and 6 seasons of utter ****e is Woodward’s legacy so far.

Another thing that annoys me is talk of Angel Gomez going to PSG. Send the lad on loan if we can’t give him game time ffs, it’s almost a banker that we will chase Angel Gomez in season 2020/21 for £150m while Mata is playing for Bukursyerispor

You mention Zlatan earlier, pretty sure there wouldn't have been anywhere near as much disruption within the squad if we'd have just kept him on for another season. Even if he only contributed to twenty or so games on the pitch. He would have taken no ****ing about.

Schweinsteiger was another, treated like dirt by Mourinho but could have at least contributed in a way that some of the younger (dickheads) could have looked up to.

    Instead, we have this in the squad;

Exactly. It’s no coincidence that the last two trophies arrived when Zlatan was here.

Who else can you bring in who could have that sort of impact?

Manchester United will have to pay in the region of £60million to sign Crystal Palace defender Aaron-Wan Bissaka this summer. A move for Wan-Bissaka was considered one of the easier purchases the club could make this summer given the full-back would be content with Europa League football.

However, the Daily Mail claim United could be priced out of a move with Palace demanding in excess of £60m. United can afford the fee but Ed Woodward, their executive-vice chairman, is unwilling to be held to ransom this summer after years of paying over the odds.

    £60m is ridiculous.

It’s no wonder the PL is flooded with foreigners when English players cost this much after one decent season.

    And it's United calling.

What I found funny is the idea Woodward could not be held to ransom. Or that he wouldn't end up spending £150m on Bale or Griezman the daft ****!

If they could settle on £50 million then pay it. Anything above is indeed ridiculous but he's much needed and so a premium will have to be paid.

If we go for Declan Rice I would fully expect West ham to add a £20 million 'bonus' on top of the fee, they just will and because it's all played out by the press there is **** all that can be done about it.

I don’t see us going for Declan Rice, the rumours look like we are after Sean Longstaff instead.

The lads on the Newcastle board seem to think the lad is special and from what I’ve seen of him he looks like he’s got a bright future, providing he’s able to recover from his injury properly and not end up Hargreaves Mk2.

Shaw will go back to being a problem for us next season I think, he’s looking fat and lazy again, I’d be more than happy if we ****ed him off and replaced him.

Yeah he was playing well before the injury. Would be a good signing.

He's a good defender but doesn't get much in the attacking side of things, no way he's worth that.

Got to say, I like my full backs to be able to defend as a priority so this is fine by me. Otherwise we just use Dalot.

Gary Neville was a full back who could defend with a winger/attacking right midfield in front of him. We did ok.

Yeah nothing wrong with a full back that can defend but his price tag should reflect that he doesn't get many assists.

I think this summer the priorities are CM, right back, centre half and winger, as a minimum. (Longstaff/Rice, Wan Bissaka, Alderweireld, James so not exactly aiming high)

That all depends on Pogba staying, if he leaves then of course we have to replace that position (probably with a Real cast off or two). It also means keeping Lukaku, unless we also find a striker.

Then in winter we probably need another centre half, another winger and maybe that left back that's been mentioned. I'd just as soon Shaw got fit though.

With the players you are losing plus some that may go it really is a massive job.

    Oh yeah.

Clouded by the fact Pogba will absolutely no doubt piss about all summer before demanding to leave just after the season starts and signing for Real on deadline day as we fail to get in a replacement.

Lukaku is the one I want out most (after Sanchez and Jones obviously but we’d have problems moving either of them on) because the bloke is just not right for United, he looks like a mess of a man. He’s too big, I doubt he cares enough to lean down and get himself in better shape.

I’ve said it 100 times, if we can swap him for Icardi I’d tear their arm off for that deal. Icardi has baggage but it’s the right kind, nutter, like Cantona, not Instagram Louis Vuitton baggage.

Looking at that, if we did sign those four then there is also room for a fancy dan name from abroad. A Dybala or even Bale for instance.
