No, gonna walk round that way tomorrow I think. I’ve had pretty much every pint the pub has to offer though.
It was open mic tonight, but I left as it started. Band playing the Saturday I’m leaving which is a shame.
You not staying at the pub mate ? Or have you got a place nearby ? I played at the Driftwood a few years ago when I was in a Ska band. Great Venue, love St Agnes. I nearly bought a cottage next to the Peterville at the top of the hill there some years ago. Probably a good job it fell through though as I think it had been flooded a few times down the years.
Staying in a place 50 yards up the road from it. I’m going to retire to this place. It has everything I want.
yeah that didn’t sound right. It’s just at the top of that hill that goes to the cove. The hill carries on going up for another 2 miles or so.
Yep it’s a lovely place. I’m really fond of St Agnes, one of my good mates Steve Bunt lives there. He’s one of the original surfer / shapers from the 60’s. Ask about him in the pub, they’ll all know Bunty. I moved down here nearly 20 years ago now. I’m a fair bit further down the county in the Wild West. I love it, I’ve got some of the most beautiful scenery in the U.K. literally outside my front door. And raising children here is great for them. I wouldn’t swap this life for anything.
I may need to start looking for jobs down this way in the coming years. Walking to Perranporth today, and then bussing it back. Portreath tomorrow. The scenery around here is immaculate.
