They are nowhere near at SAF, Wenger, and even Mourinho's level yet with multiple domestic Championships but that could change in time.

I would't describe them as a current Superpower yet but historically they were, yes.

Klopp has been there for years though, and the team got better by spending lots of money. They only challenged one year out of about four years he has been there. They choked and City were awesome, gotta take your hat off to Pep for that.

Oh yeah Pep deserves huge credit for the way they held the Liverpool challenge off, I just don't buy that he's a much better manager/coach than Klopp.

I still won't put him in the same bracket until he has won the PL personally.

Hard to say any one coach from the best 5 coaches I the world is “much” better than the others, but I would say that Pep is better. By how much is subjective and up for debate for sure. Both in the top 5 though.

Yes, and how many of those were with one of the greatest Barcelona sides of all time?

    Fair comment.

My way of looking at it is I think Klopp would achieve similar if he had gone into the same jobs at the same time, for example he would have won 3 league titles with Bayern etc.

But I'm not convinced that Pep would have the same success going into a 'lesser' club and having to build the majority himself. Particularly at a club where that's at least one more with more resources.

Sounds strange but I also think that Peps CL record is pretty poor relative to the squads he's had, off tangent a bit there though.

Klopp is clearly a very, very good Manager, he is just not one of the greats....yet.

It is strange to think that when I first went to watch football the prices were under £1 to get in. If I was a Chelsea or Arsenal fan I would want to get to see that final. I totally agree with UEFA making tickets cheaper for fans and assisting with travel arrangements,. I can understand why Baku deserves a chance but I feel that the country needs to step up with issues such as human tights before being allowed the privilege of staging a significant final. The competitions should be shared around but I think to do this there needs to be a degree of morality demonstrated before the venue is awarded and UEFA need to stop giving tickets to officials / sponsor / phoneys so that the majority of them are offered to fans at sensible prices.

I think that there is a broader issue here insofar as someone needs to looks at preventing football being taken out of the hands of working class supporters. The demographic for these kinds of finals must been you have both a decent amount of income and an ability to take time off from work commitments which is not always easy.

Not sure whether football clubs can realistically curb their carbon footprint by not travelling for nationwide venues. I think the liability on this relies with finding more sustainable forms of transport. I am not aware of any club other than Forest Green trying to enhance their "green" credentials.

Let's be honest, Harry Redknapp could have won multiple titles with that team. 8 titles is a great achievement but I think that number has been helped quite a lot by the quality of that team. Also, Pep has only won the CL with Barcelona. If Klopp wins it in a couple of weeks time that would certainly be a much bigger achievement than Pep winning it with Barca.
