Just heared Motson say on Radio 5 "the best thing about the Stoke/Liverpool game was the performance of Mark Clattenberg who had a very good game". Can somebody tell me where this guy gets his ideas from. I know that the majority of Reds fans will have a biased view but I haven't even seen a comment from a Stoke fan agreeing with him.
Motson has put his foot in it a few times with some of his comments. He during one world cup found it hard to say a german internationals name...it was Kuntz.
motson is a dick head. i always find myself disagreeing with everything he says. the thing is the beeb seem to think he is a font of information and everything he says is fact! he's piss poor and should be put on mute whenever he appeares!
Quite surprisingly Clarridge also said Liverpool played very well in the Stoke match and that it boded well for us for the rest of the season -even though we lost. Now there's a surprise!!

Page, now I KNOW you're right. He's commentating on Radio 5 on the QPR v Newcastle game and this is what he's just said: "Phil Dowd, who's officiating tonight, is standing in the centre-circle in his referees outfit" FFS what else would he be wearing!
You can't beat the late Brian Moore...Now there was a commentator. Motty is a senile old man, he probably completely forgot about what happened yesterday and made up a load of old drivel on the spot.
Has always been the most overated of commentators and when he is on MOTD or five live then its just awful.He makes stupid comments that have little to do with the game or he's stating the bleeding obvious.Barry Davis was by far and away the best commentator of recent times (on the Beeb that is).
Motson apparently knows a lot of facts and stats which to some people make him seem knowledgeable. However his commentary shows he has very little understanding of the game and what is going on in front of his eyes. He's annoyed me for as long as I can remember.
Martin Tyler is a class act too and should do all the commentary on Sky. Please Sky sack Ray Wilkins and Alan Smith and introduce two decent co-commentators I would even suggest bringing back Andy Gray. Or even give Chris Coleman and Chris Kamara more work.
