What has that got to do with anything. And before @Royston Vasey starts sticking up for you, may I remind Mr van Gerwen he thinks ALL people working at Charlton Athletic should leave the club and find a job elsewhere. He has put that down on many posts on here.
That’s 100% correct. Any Charlton employee who worked at the club pre Duchatelet should have quit when they began to see the damage he was doing to the club. Three in particular remained for reasons of ego, IMO. (All 3 are very visible on match days, I’m not referring to low paid backroom operators. Funnily enough - all 3 Blocked me on Twitter after objecting to some direct feedback)
Brian Cole obviously loves being the announcer at the Valley and is willing to do the job (nobody except his family know his true feelings towards the owner) even for the current owner … like the majority of the current ST holders who have purchased their tickets despite the owner because they love going to the Valley. Are these people wrong to do this? No it is their choice, they love the Club and will not let a Belgian pr1ck drive them away..... it is the same with Brian Cole, he loves being the announcer and was gutted about losing the job because of a casual comment which most Charlton fans agreed with. Does BC get on my t1ts at half time... yes he does … do I blame him for doing a job he loves... no!

@AllHellLetLoose Good assessment- you also see Brian Cole rock up at places like Exeter and Fleetwood - I’ve seen him at both. Nor does he constantly self promote - he just enjoys that role, whether the moral objections some might have. Dave Lockwood really made my p1ss boil when, having taken Duchâtelet’s money for 3 years, he hijacked the last protest, grabbed the megaphone (not that he needs one) outside the Lib, and started telling the “boys and girls” not to swear ! Absolute self promoting fool.
