I bought Nordvpn specifically to be able to watch iPlayer, ITV Hub etc as free vpns don't get past their geotracking anymore. ****ing thing still says I'm out of the country. Any ideas from other expats? Really frustrating.
Don't know if the info in this article is any use. https://www.reviewsfire.com/tech/bbc-iplayer-detecting-vpn-how-to-fix/
The Scandi noir template has been exported and copied worldwide. The feel and mood is similar in many of these inc Cardinal Just sayin like
Fair observation. In Cardinal's case, I find the dialogue banal...maybe kinder to say weak, and the plots shallow.
Was a neutral comment. Problem is more of these you see, the more you either feel you've seen it before or you feel you can see the seams. Still The Bridge for me, honourable mentions for Wallander and Beck Dint rate Spiral at all, quite enjoyed that Aussie one a few months back.
Inspector Montalbano is by far the most enjoyable for me. Diametrically opposed to the ScandiNoir intrigues.
Tonight on BBC4 - a little bit of history of WW1 action for Yorks & Lincs trawlermen...2:25 am Sunday
Not big on the tv series, but love the books Easy reading, but really good Just always leave me wanting to sit by the sea in Sicily and eat seafood
The locations in the TV series have ensured a high entry on my bucket list, that's for sure. A place riddled with history from so many "Conquerors" has to be a great place. I know a few second generation Canadian Sicilians (including my dental hygienist) who visit their family members still living there, so get a good feel for the place. They have a very likeable sense of humour, as the series indicates. The good thing is the Mafiosi situation there has calmed down a fair bit, but tourists have been pretty well shielded from exposure over the years. Not neccesarily true over here mind !
