I’m bored of Man City already. I hate the fact that they have basically bought the treble. Pep is being ****ed over because he’s won lots but he’s had it on a plate since he started at Barcelona. He couldn’t manage a club with no money. Now they just buy the best of the rest and we watch them win most games again next season. In a sadistic kind of way I wished Liverpool had won the league to put the Man City fans back in their place.
Aldi man, not Asda. We"re back at hotel in Skipton with my Zimmer intact. Still no bloody TV in the bar....
I would as well but it’s on at a stupid time. Anyway I think Australia will win it this year- wtf is that all about?
It should be called the Eurovision Mong contest. It’s an absolute showcase for bellends and window lickers.
Have they bought the treble? Had Liverpool won it, surely the same applies? Liverpool, Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal have also tried and failed to buy the treble. We tried and failed to buy success in the past. Man U successfully bought a few titles after the success of their youth team started to drift. Chelsea successfully bought success in the past. You can see what I'm driving at. It only becomes boring when someone is successful at buying it on a regular basis. I've said it myself many times but its a bit hypocritical really. Essentially the top 6 sides is more or less made up of the biggest spenders on a regular basis. This goes way back to Jack Walker, Sir John Hall. Man C have spent a bit more of course, but all the teams are trying to buy it. They are just the best at it. Also think you are wrong about Guardiola. I think he'd be a great coach regardless where he was. No doubt he has carefully picked his challenges and he'd find it tougher. However his ability to create a great team spirit, improve players, and have a consistent well structured tactical approach means he'd be a cracking manager at any level. I just don't buy this thing where Man C's success is entirely down to money. You have to have to money to have consistent success in football. There is no doubt they spend the most. However they also have invested in having the best infrastructure possible too. The best people. Their youth system is excellent, they have synergy throughout their team set ups. They have bought it, but they've done in a smart way. Lets remember this Liverpool team everyone is having as their 2nd side spent 163m on 4 players this season, 156m the year before. They generated a lot with Coutinho sale of course but they've still outlayed huge sums buying the very best. City spent 65m this season, 285m the year before. So not much in it for the last two years. Its just City will have spent bigger in the preceding years, hence their depth is probably slightly better.
To prefer one team who is trying to buy the league over another team who try to buy the league is silly and somewhat hypocritical.
Every team is trying to “buy” the League. The difference is a question of scale and whether you stick to the prevailing rules or not.
Well we do. I'm not sure any of Chelsea, Man U, Liverpool, Man C could say the same. I think they've all been at it with the sponsorship ruse.
