He was on loan so was going back, and I don't think he wants to play in the championship. And we wouldn't want to pay his premiership wages. If you manage to land him you'll have a good player.
The club have given the following news regarding departures, contract options extended (already known) and contracts offered. Player Departures Friday 17 May 2019 11:00 The Club can confirm that the following players will leave Fulham this summer following the expiry of their contracts: Ryan Babel Lazar Marković Elijah Adebayo Robert Atkinson Aron Davies Jose Garrido Christopher Kelly Scott Armsworth Showkat Tahir Furthermore, the players who were on loan during the 2018/19 season will return to their parent clubs, namely Calum Chambers, Sergio Rico, André Schürrle, Håvard Nordtveit, Luciano Vietto, and Timothy Fosu-Mensah. We would like to thank each and every player for their efforts during their time at Fulham, and wish them the best of luck in their careers. The following players have had options activated in their contracts which keeps them at the Club until the summer of 2020: Floyd Ayité, Stefan Johansen, Neeskens Kebano, Denis Odoi, Magnus Norman, Mattias Kait, Jon Dagur Thorsteinsson and Jerome Opoku. The Club has offered contracts to Taye Ashby-Hammond, Tyrese Francois, Jayden Harris, Moritz Jenz, Nicolas Santos Clase and Ryan De Havilland.
15 players out the door. Wow. Were there many first teamers amongst that lot? Trims the wage bill, but could leave some rebuilding.
2 Leave who were on contract, 6 loans and the remainder from the development squad. The bigger hits were Babel and Chambers but keeping others may be our problem.
Thanks. Was interested in the split as I was wondering how it affected your starting line up. We've lost 3 loanees (2 starters all season, 1 starter from January). I would have liked to have kept the first 2 but we knew they'd probably go. Niasse leaving is no great shakes. Gunnarson had said from the start of the season it was his last year with us. He's been a good servant and deserves a big pay day. Time is catching up with him as well. Other than gunnarson, we've got the squad that got us up last time plus a few additions (Murphy and Reid in particular), so hopefully strengthening rather than rebuilding for us. 2 or 3 centre mids are the priority for us with Camarasa and Arter leaving (departing loanees).
We have signed a new Goal Keeping Coach Rob Burch from Spurs, story on the link. http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2019/june/21/burch-joins-fulham This also puts this thread at the top where it really should be this time of year.
Rumours of us wanting Gayle for £20m, heard this one a few times beforein the past! Obvious replacement for Mitro and more than proven at the level, hopefully we can make it happen this time.
I've seen these too Fabio, some quote £10m, but a sound addition if we can get him. I have hope that we may be able to keep Mitro, more than I have for Sess. A partnership of Gayle and Mitro would stand us in an excellent position next season. Do you think they could play together?? Mitro has a strong wish for a good family life which he has said he has at Fulham, hopefully the main factor in his future. Other rumours of in's and out's but nothing looking more than guess work to me so far.
Think it would be great if we had both, possibly 2 of the best strikers at this level based on recent seasons. Can't see Mitro staying though, whether its home or abroad someone somewhere will be willing to pay the money for him (£30m is it?). He came down to this level before with us to kinda get his career back on track, I think its fair to say hes done that now, possibly too good to be back at this level.
Our kit for 2019/20 has been released today, Mitro modeling the home shirt, is this a sign he is staying with us? A bad marketing decision if he isn't. please log in to view this image
Leeds United Defender Pontus Jannson is gaining interest from both Sheffield United and Fulham, after a dispute with the manager has caused him to be left out of training and he has been keeping fit with his old club Malmo. Would be an interesting transfer for us, but you would expect Sheffield United would be first in the que, though Leeds fans would not be happy if either team got him.
Yes I've been reading this but don't know too much about him. As you say the Leeds fans like him which is good reference. Another speculation is Brentford centre-back Ezri Konsa, again I'm unfamiliar with him, I've been watching the EPL for a season! Still a lot of talk of Serri and Sess moving on, or some say Sess will run his contract to its end this season and leave as a free agent then.
Jansson off to Brentford apparently maybe in preparation for the sale of Konsa who we have been linked with
Mitro staying is massive, if we can keep Zambo as well I honestly think we are only a quality winger away from being front runners.... get Cavaleiro in tomorrow!!
Still think we need a right back, Christie just doesn't do it for me. Maybe he will be better now back down in the championship though, time will tell. Perhaps stick in a cheeky loan bid to West Ham for Fredericks
I’m not against signing a right back but Christie and Odoi are both serviceable if not amazing but we also have three highly rated youngsters, S Sess who plays for England U19, Cody Drameh who plays for England U18 and M Fossey who I’m pretty sure has made his full debut for USA
Good god, I got it right for a change, don't tell Mrs 2WS though! Very pleased with the news, COYW's!!
Apparently Elliott and Sessegnon haven’t travelled to Portugal.... Elliott is reported to have agreed a deal with Liverpool. Also Leicester have signed Tielmans from Monaco, there were reports a while back that they wanted to sign Seri to replace him.
A few new rumours from the world of Twitter today.... Stoke City’s Ryan Woods ( Ex Brentford) is apparently off to an unnamed London club. A few tweets on Adula Lumala a Ugandan international playing in Sweden being linked to Fulham. Galatasaray want Seri.
