I honestly thought they would make it in the end , but hard to feel sympathy with twats like that as fans .

All clubs have them though and I do feel for the likes of Pompey meowth they , Lapras , wooperts etc .

They are ok by me .

You really can play 'Inbred Bingo' with that lot. My fave is the one with the perm. He's so angry that he can only keep one eye open. He even leans forward from the second row to try and grab/punch the Sunderland player.

I was genuinely disappointed you didn’t make it. I have a friend who went last night and it would have been good to have another South Coast team promoted. And yes I am Ides love child.

However, we also support our club, not the league. Why is that ok for your ****ty small man syndrome of a club, and not ok just cos your better looking, more sophisticated neighbours just because they play in a league you really aspire (as a club) to be in?

If you didn’t want promotion, why the anger and tears from you lot? If it wasn’t football related, did you all find out you all had loads more brothers and sisters?

Why is it best to have English players? I thought we live in a multi cultural society where we all get in ok with one another and are inclusive and accepting of all comers?

It will be a difficult season next year for Pompey. The position they were in before Christmas should have been cemented in the second half of the campaign and I just wonder if the midfielder who went back to Millwall was the reason why they dominated up to January. I was convinced that Portsmouth would get promoted at that point but the subsequent lack of form mid season convinced me that they would bow out in the play offs. I am not convinced they will have a better chance than the one they have just had. By all accounts it was a scruffy match last night.

There is almost something tragi-comic about Portsmouth. The fan base in there and the club has the heritage and potential to be the biggest club on the South coast. I think they are well run now but historically the club was never put on an even keel with the consequence that you could never describe them as a "modern" club. Portsmouth should be Championship at the very worst yet the fact that they did not really invest in infra-structure when they had money means that it will always be a struggle for them. Undoubtedly their best players will now be snapped up by Championship clubs and you wonder if the manager, having done an excellent job, will become a target for clubs more likely to fulfil his ambition. I concur that Portsmouth are "sleeping giants" although better opportunities for promotion than the current season for promotion are likely to be few and far between. Mid-table for them next season.

Unfortunately I fear there is a lot of truth in what you said, especially regarding having such an opportunity for promotion which frankly we bottled, there's no other way to put it. And as you mention, the loss of players to the championship is also a big concern of mine. Players like Lowe and Curtis would be a big miss. Plus with Curtis, we have our first full international in ages and I don't want to lose that. However the good thing is financially we're pretty stable and probably don't need to sell anyone, so it depends on them really. Regarding our manager, Portsmouth have in recent years shown a good degree of loyalty to our managers so I'm pretty sure that if he wants to stay, he will. Though some fans wouldn't be too upset if he left, I imagine. The impact of the player going back to Millwall just highlights the danger of loanees, I sincerely hope next season we don't rely so much on loanees because it could come to haunt us again and I also sincerely hope we aren't mid table. That would be rubbish. And if there was a choice of mid table PL or mid table league 1, I would actually pick the former. If you're gonna be mid table anyway, you may as well do it in a higher league.

That is a reasoned comment Ian although after the mid-season collapse, they did put together a winning run but then ran out of steam and ideas. Added to Ben Thompson going back to Millwall, Andre Green returned to Villa, Gareth Evans´s goal contribution dried up in the fnal quarter, as did that of Ronan Curtis.

David Jones is a Sunderland fan. He is right, but never seen him pitch in before

Where did it start going wrong for Pompey? Well I make it around the time Ralph came in. The opposite graph paying dividends once again. If we're not fighting relegation battle next term, they will be plonked in midtable doing nothing.

    There’s a *** paper between them, but I don’t know which way.

I like Poch, great coach, but the feckers nicked him.
    Hoddle
    Deano (RIP)
    Chivers
    That fecking cup replay
    Our song
    Vic
    My brother in law
I love the fact they’ve won feck all for years
    Vertonghen - tw4t
Once they’ve won it, that can never be taken away
    **** fans

    Klopp plays great football.
We’ll always have the Shane Goal
    VVD
    Lovren
    Lallana
    The media w4nkfest
    Lovren winning something
    Lovren’s face
    Nivea
Unbearable fans (although they’ve won it before, so I can cope with the fans if they win this not the Premier League)
    Lovren
    Brenda
    **** fans

The deciding factor may well come down to the fact that I have three Arsenal fans in a WhatsApp mates group out of 8.... they are already suffering from huge anxiety and if Spuds win it, then these chaps will have to live with that forever and years to come. The “they are currently the biggest club in North London” line will get used time and time again.

Can we get a petition going to get Bournemouth to start wearing blue?

Pompey clearly enjoy being a big fish in League One, and the Cherries are desperate for a rivalry. So it could be a good solution for all of us.

If they can't afford a kit change, we could send the bucket round again.

A bit of both. I think Saints fans are enjoying the bottling bit. Everyone else is laughing at the twats kicking the Sunderland player.

Do kind of feel bad for any decent folk from Pompey. This is savage.

In terms of the bottling, I feel like it's fair enough roast us. In terms of that twat, I feel like it's unfair to roast the entire fanbase, but anyone who defends him deserves roasting.

Totally agree. I think the fact that the bloke is so bloody ugly is not helping.

Also, your captain (Pittman?) is getting a lot of stick for swearing at the ball boy or something.
