It's different granted, but a red, white and black combo is not unpleasant to my eye.

Underwhelmed slightly, but they look better out on the pitch.

Surprised to see Lemina in the kit launch rather than Pierre.

Agreed. Black is good. I'm also liking the navy shade of blue for the away. And the all white 3rd kit looks class.

“Fans are worried”. Fans. Because we dont know the specifics. It’s all speculation. We aren’t sponsored by ISIS as far as we know. Sponsorship is free money. I don’t see the fuss at all yet. Even if the sponsor turns out to be a dud nobody will care after a week. If they turn out to be human traffickers then you can have something to really complain about.

What route are we going down? Sponsored by a brand you know nothing about or are you concerned about something more substantial. Spell it out.

Yep, you as well. Spell, it out “mush”. You’re usually pretty well reasoned, so what are your actual criminal activity concerns? Xenophobia, speculation and and hyperbole is all I’m seeing.

It’s a sponsorship deal, nothing more. It’s a drop in the financial bucket over three years.

Out of order accusing Libby (and presumably myself) of xenophobia.

I linked an article from the South China Morning Post about why this deal absolutely reeks and should have us worried. I assume you didn't bother reading it.

It's pretty obvious why people are concerned and those concerns are totally legitimate.

'Nobody will care after a week if the business is a dud' isn't particularly true if we lose all our potential main sponsor income and the club ****s itself over.

Don’t dodge the issue. You basically accused the club of criminal activity for striking a sponsorship deal. On what grounds other than it being a Chinese company you know nothing about?

Dodge the issue? Quite frankly mate if you're gonna accuse me of xenophobia then I'm not inclined to answer you properly.

    Either retract it or explain.

I accused nobody specifically of anything. I said what I am seeing is xenophobia, hyperbole and speculation. If you feel targeted by that then the issues isn’t with me.

I know nothing about this deal. You Linked to an article which said fans are worried. It offered nothing more than what is in this forum or in the article I read by the sports sponsorship guy out of Manchester uni. Everything taken into account I said it all seems like xenophobia, speculation and hyperbole. I don’t see that being out of line until someone actually offers something factual.

Our owner admitted criminal wrongdoing in a court of law. In exchange for his testimony, which resulted in another individual being put to death, he was granted immunity. That's not speculation nor xenophobia; it's established fact, and it's why the Premier League tried to prevent him from taking an ownership stake.

So precisely what does that have to do with the discussion around this sponsorship deal?

    I’ve just finished mine.

Here’s a good one. I went to brush up on this case history of our owners and top result was from the sun. It’s consistent with its reputation as a bastion of fair and balanced reporting.

    https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/3422978/premier-league-blocked-gao-jisheng-200m-southampton/

Gao was found to be one of many companies who were paying bungs to a corrupt state official. Speculatively, this was the condition of doing business in the region. The state official had a safe full of gold ingots and jade among other items. Gao gave evidence and the state official was executed. I DO NOT CONDONE STATE EXECUTION or the Chinese govt human rights record. However that makes him a state witness not a murderer unless I’m missing something and admittedly I spent very little time researching this post.
