A Hull City mod that was looking for more of a bite than he got. He thrives on banter and loves dishing it out although he takes it back okay and you could say we’re (Leeds) a long way down on his love list.
Good assessment! I like the left back rotation of Douglas, Alioski and Dallas. Casillas has cost us big time, needs to go. Third CB desperately needed. Bamford - why oh why did he persist with committing fouls throughout the game? Izzy Brown should have been brought on much earlier, he never got a chance at Leeds. Need to start playing the emerging U23s on a consistent basis next season. Even if they are just 15 and 20 minute appearances each game, to develop them. Let's hope the nucleus, including coaching staff is retained, we strengthen a few positions and have a solid 20 man squad that can play whenever needed,
Not sure who your last sentence was aimed at but I don't feel aggrieved by anyone outside Leeds. We bottled it simples. I don't follow your club, have just enough time to follow mine, so I don't know the ins and outs of the situation. Happy to learn if you have anything to share.
Only problem with that, is the agent is Warnocks old friend who has done a lot of deals that have had many problems, this one was no different, the only ones who tried to do things right were the French club, who are the only one's who have been ripped off.
I suggest then that you only talk about your club and not claim the moral high ground about mine. For your info (being you asked) here's something I posted on the Ipswich board quite a few weeks back when they started gobbing off about the Sala tragedy - I've copied and pasted it if you care to read. "Christ - you don't half talk some **** on here about Cardiff and the Sala situation. The fact that the club announced Sala as signed means absolutely nothing in contractual law - this whole sorry issue is being driven by the respective insurance companies not the club. He was announced as signed because they believed at the time that he was. It isn't as if the poor guy was unemployed at the time of his tragic death in terms of being an "out of contract free agent". He was either oficiallly a Cardiff player, or if not as now seems the case, still contracted to his then current club Nantes. This is the matter of fact that needs to be established by the authorities. If he was a Cardiff registered player then the club should take it on the chin, but only then will the club's insurers be liable, otherwise Nantes would need to invoke their own policy. The flight issues, the plane, the pilot and relevant licences, the McKays and the rest of the whipped up peripheral issues are irrelevant at the moment. The first thing that needs to be established is the contractual situation and that will then determine what happens next. The intent was obviously there and in principle and emotionally he was a Cardiff player at the time of his tragic death, but insurance companies do not pay out on emotion, just facts. His transfer and registration with the various footballing authorities as a Cardiff City player was rejected because of errors on documents submitted by both clubs. If Cardiff had made that first payment on the due date it would have been tantamount to admitting liability - there is no way their insurers would countenance that in the same way you are told by insurers never to admit liability in a road traffic accident. It seems difficult for some to to grasp, but once Sala's official "footballing status" that fateful night is established, it would be up to the liable club to pursue recompense from third parties. Nobody is going to come out of this smelling of roses, but I for one would like to see the parasitic agents and their cohorts get a right shafting. This may all seem a bit accademic to you when when dealing with emotional issues, but get your real heads on - this is all about business. Stop squawking about how "badly" CCFC football club is behaving - you simply have no idea of what you're talking about. The other side issue mentioned that McKays younger twin sons Jack and Paul were signed to Cardiff's under 23 squad from Leeds a couple of years back is another red herring unless you work for the Daily Mail."
Thank you that's helpful. The tragedy occurred over 3 months ago, any update? Were the McKays signed by CCFC or not? By the time we knew enough about it, it was obviously a scam when Leeds signed them. Your manager is one of the gems, for sure!
So it's not Warnocks old m8, the one who had a deal for Leeds to sign his kids I think it was, the one's who hardly know what a football is, the same ones who he signed for Cardiff and have never played for any of the clubs, A nice little earner if you know the right people, do you think for 1 second if he didn't die there would have been a problem with the contract ? Of course there wouldn't have been. My guess is your manager and his m8 are waist deep in it, but he's too clever to get caught out, which means everyone else gets screwed.
"I suggest then that you only talk about your club and not claim the moral high ground about mine. " If you can't take it, then don't come here and dish it out. Think someone else wrote something like that on this thread earlier....
I'll answer your questions as best I can........... Yes, the update is that the case has been referred to IFA who no doubt will announce its' decisions on the matter in due course - until then, everything is on hold. McKay's youngest twin sons Paul and Jack were signed to our youth squad from Leeds but have not proved succesful so far - so what? They are currently both out on loan to Morecambe and Chesterfield respectively. "By the time we knew enough about it, it was obviously a scam when Leeds signed them." WTF are you talking about?
That's your considered opinion is it - fair enough. Fortunately as we all know opinions are like arseholes - everyone has one, but some arseholes post opinions as well...........
The history is that these players follow your manager from club to club but never seem to play for them. Their daddy is an agent that your manager seems to do a lot of transactions with.
Red Herring my arse, Warnock and Mckay did a deal to bring 2 lads who might as well have been ballet dancers, because they had no idea about football, he then did another deal to take them to Cardiff for his m8 Mckay, from people who have seen them, they are not footballers. The same manager and Agent involved, half blind pilot with no licence, of course everything was above board.
Interesting. It's not a story I've been following. Allow me to make an observation without getting my head bitten off, please. I notice that the terms 'registration' & 'contracted' almost seem to be getting used synonymously. Is it not the fact that registration has absolutely nothing to do with it? As I understand it, you don't have to be registered with a club to have a contract with them, unless there is a specific clause that brings the two together, surely? I believe that if a contract is signed in good faith by all participating parties, then the contract stands, unless there are caveats that determine that certain processes & procedures must be completed before the contract becomes 'live', if you will. Not trying to wind up, just a questioning observation. Am genuinely interested, as I always thought the signing process was relatively straightforward. Clearly, it isn't, but I don't know what the specific issues are.
If you want to believe in Santa and fairies, that's your right, no matter how stupid others may think it is.
WJ - there's a good moral case for "intent being binding" but it doesn't stack up in contractual law. The registration of a player is dependant upon the footballing authorities to sanction no matter what the intent was. This is the overiding principle in deciding "ownership" (terrible phrase) of the player and the resultant responsibilities of their respective insurers. Amongst other things, there were issues that Sala wanted his signing on fee paid up front directly to his mother but that breaches Premier League rules and the contract was rejected. Until the relevant authorities including The Premier League, FIFA and the FAW over international registration sanctioned the move, Sala remained a Nantes player.
