I can't believe he had the audacity to complain that we wouldn't sell him to Sevilla when Udinese were offering £10mill more! Grrrrr http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11675_7171631,00.html?utm_source=sky&utm_medium=spurs Oh and the usual for 'Arry running his mouth and giving away specific details again!
Surely even a modern footballer can see the problem there? Maybe not, eh? When's Levy going to do something about Redknapp's media blabbing? Seriously starting to piss me off, now.
The deals dead and the windows closed. Even the most ardent anti-Harry merchant couldn't be upset with him talking about it?
Why not? Why is he discussing the details of specific transfers at all, especially as he's repeatedly insisted that he doesn't have anything to do with them or know much about it?
To be fair on this one, PNP. I think Harry's probably just responding to GDS' reported complaint that he'd effectively been stabbed in the back by the club for pulling the plug on his move to Sevilla, at the last moment. If, as reported their bid was only in the region of £3mm, then you can see why Levy wouldn't sanction the move.
It's definitely not Levy's money that GDS has allegedly lost us. Levy isn't the owner, I guess if anything it's Joe Lewis' money, but it's probably more complicated than that, as we are a plc.
What are we in the Mafia or something? Why the **** shouldn't he tell us (the fans) what's happening or what's happened? Just because he doesn't do the deals it doesn't mean he doesn't know about them. I don't recall seeing him ghosting in at the far post to score a late winner either, but I would expect him to know about it!
He's the one that keeps telling us that he doesn't know, Chirpy. Why shouldn't he tell us? Why should he tell everyone about our transfer dealings? It's unnecessary and often counter-productive.
Do you honestly think he would be allowed by DL to say anything that is counter to our interests? He is an employee of THFC and he is doing the job he is told to do. Counter productive how? Please name one transfer unravelling, which can be directly attributed to HR making a statement to the press and explain how it is counter productive? Levy doesn't strike me as the sort of person who has much time for counter-productive employees. (JJ aside.)
If it was £3 million million then we should definitely have taken it ;-) It's the specific parts that riles me the most. If he'd had said "Sevilla offered significantly less than another club, who he turned down" or "Sevilla were nowhere near to matching our valuation", I probably wouldn't have been so bothered even if I'd still prefer he stayed shut up. It's the same with mentioning the last ditch bid from Chelsea for Modric. On the other subject raised on the article, would you be happy if Modric was given another payrise?
He says things that are contrary to our interests all the time, in my opinion. His recent comments about Modric, suggesting that he should have been sold, are totally counter-productive, for example.
The problem with Redknapp is he seems unable to keep his trap shut.I know the fans want to know, but some things are better left alone, you don´t see any other manager telling the press every last detail about the club they work for.If he was a spy he would have been assasinated by now.Next thing he´ll be telling us about his bowel habits!!!
