It's moaning. You've had an amazing season which really couldn't have went any better, so England hasn't really had any effect, has it?
In irrelevant matches and running them into the ground, while ignoring any attempt to create a Plan B.
Come off it. The WC went on well into July and the new season began on 10th August. That’s virtually no time to get a proper rest and do a full pre season
In your opinion Some of us aren't so snobbish about international football. How many friendlies we played in the last 12 months excluding the pre WC ones (as surely they're not irrelevant) ? One, two maybe?
So that only affected you lot then? That doesn't make Southgate a **** bruv, he doesn't schedule the matches.
It’s no excuse. It’s simple facts that around half our first team was involved in the late stages of the WC and then had to begin a new season on 10th August
The season went well. 4 English teams in the European finals. Man City and Liverpool breaking records in an amazing season. Spurs reaching the Champions league final for the first time in their history. You have no argument, unless your argument is that it must have had a positive effect?
It affected us more as so many of our players were involved in those late stages. At least half out first team.
What a start to this thread, spurs fans moaning about players instead of looking forward to what could be a great comp. I have to say I'm a tad disappointed.
We got there by the skin of our teeth - by sheer spirit and refusal to quit. Our season and the number of losses, goals conceded is a better guide to things.
