I was overjoyed when we got Casillas but looking back the January transfer window was probably more painful than we realised, he was absolute garbage tonight. Berardi no excuses for him, Bamford could have very easily have been sent off although his first yellow was harsh and Pablo had a stinker but the rest didn’t deserve to be on a losing team
Casilla, Cooper, Hernandez and Bamford all had crap games but Bielsa freezing in the spotlight lost it, no good putting Clark and Brown on in the 87th minute. Lampard played to win the game Bielsa just hoped and never tried to change a losing team till too late.
Chin up lads. remember Brighton 15-16. Finished 3rd missed out on auto promotion on last game. Did not get past play off semis. Walked the league in 16-17. This season should be a platform now to really build and go for it. Right signings this summer and you can go up next year. Can only imagine how hard it is right now, but keep the faith.
Time to get rid of some players and replace with better ones. Consoling ourselves we had senior players out, but we still give away a 2-0 lead. We've been our own worst enemy for second half of season, especially against the lower teams......complacency played a part.
