As opposed to the Celtic fans in here I am not using some pathetic separate entity excuse.

Rangers are the same club as they were and therefore are liable for any wrong doings that happened to kids who were under the club's supervision. They had a duty of care.

Simple as that.

Let that sink in.

 

They are claiming to be a different company though, same as Celtic have done with CBC.

 

It would take someone to contest that in a court of law to see if it would stand up.

It is a morally reprehensible stance though. The same as Celtics.

And whilst I agree in principle that it's a cowardly thing to do, I have said several times that I believe no one at Rangers or Celtic is going to admit they are responsible because it could open the flood gates for compo. Both clubs have legal people who will be telling them to deny all culpability and damn the consequences.

 

So you have shares in a business you would be happy to pay out for something that happened 30/40 years ago in another company?

Hence the need to take these matters to civil court and hope that the victims get justice which leads to further investigation and those who covered up the goings on or profited by them also see their day in court.

I wouldn't have a problem with that. The institution had a duty of care. If its proven that it was negligent in that duty of care then the institution should pay compensation to the people they let down.

Just like Man City have done or are doing. Just like the Scottish Government are doing for kids who were in care and abused. Just like the catholic church has had to do for victims of historical child abuse all over the world.

The reason we are speaking about it is yet another Celtic man was jailed yesterday Mindy. The reason we have been speaking about so often is because he is the fourth one to be jailed this year ffs.

If and when a person with links to Rangers gets put away for child abuse I'm sure we will discuss that as well.
