I can't see this being true. I think Joe Aribo's agent is working hard. Manchester City have made contact in the last 10 days with Charlton Athletic central midfielder Joe Aribo (22). Aribo has scored 10 goals and made five assists in 37 appearances this season - City would see him as a ‘squad player’. [@bbcsport_david via @5liveSport]
I can see Aribo getting a very good Championship club, or maybe a promoted side like Norwich or Sheff Utd.
No chance. QPR fans are scathing about him - he’s got a worst fitness record in the last 2 years that Cory Gibbs. The last thing we need on the books is another crock.
He was a good player at def-mid, remember Dale Stephens saying that he had become a better player since Cousins came into the team. But then along came Diego Poyet and Cousins got shunted out to play on either wing, totally out of position, and he wasn't really up to it. He suffered through being a tad more versatile than Poyet, who could only play one position, whereas Cousins was decent at RB or CB as well as def/mid. Not a winger though.
Duchatelet has previously claimed that the division Charlton are in has no bearing on his willingness to sell. Let’s hope that’s not another lie.
RD has also said (in so many words) that the value of the Club goes up or down after every individual result. So the run of good form Chalton enjoyed at the end of this season should have pushed the price up quite a lot.
