Bendtner and tonights game

Discussion in 'Sunderland' started by Heavy Metal Toon, Sep 12, 2011.

  1. Mag in peace -

Just want to know how you thought Bendtner got on in his first game?

From his highlights he looked a bit ****e but his presence was felt by the Chelsea team and he had impact. He should have scored that header, even though he was offside.

And also just wondering if you're gonna watch our game tonight?

We're both looking to finish mid table so even though we hate hoping for each other winning, it would be a good result for both of us, no?

We both want teams like QPR to get the least amount of points possible.

He was one of our better players, and held the ball up really well.
As for your game: no I won't be watching it, and I hope QPR piss all over you..

Bendtner wasn't offside when he got that header in, someone else was but it wasn't Bendtner. He did as good as you cpuld expect him to.be uptop on his own with very little support and feeding off scraps. It was a terrible touch from Bendtner that set up Ji for his goal though so he got an assist of sorts.

I thought he was just what we needed had Gyan still been at the club. We have been looking for a big powerful guy to hold the ball up and win the ball in the air since Jones left. Now we have just that and we don't have anyone to run into the space he will create. He is not the most skillful in the world but he causes defences problems, if Sess, Richardson or Ji can step up and score goals in the space Bendtner creates we will be fine. If we had Campbell fit I would be very excited about our season.

I wouldn't be opposed to giving Richardson a go in the hole behind Bendy with sess starting left, then rico and sess can interchange and keep defences guessing. Rico has showed he can score from this position.

    Agree
Rico is much better in that position than left back,....he can't tackle. he can score from there, proved it in the past before he became our number 1 LB

Watching the match. Barton's been poor. Anton's been solid. Wright-Phillips and Taarabt looking good. Bothroyd has missed 3 glorious chances. And that Traore lad looks decent. I would have taken him on loan <ok>

    I would, for several reasons.

    1. cos he's ****e.
    2. now your talking about playing with 1 main striker again. we criticise Bruce for doing it, the you make the same selection...We wil never score goals with this formation.

Totally agree with point number 2, but as for point number 1. Rico only gets to play where the master tactitian tells him to play, lads never going to play where he is best at.
