It’s all relative innit, I’m considering the fact that you have to finish outside the top 4 or go crashing out of the CL at the group stage to even qualify for the EL. It’s an embarrassment of a competition. Would you like to drive around in Ferrari’s all year but never own one or own a Seat Ibiza?
Liverpool won it in 2001 and have won just next to nothing ever since. One CL (Maybe two soon) and a couple of domestic cups.
Last season's CL money paid the VVD fee, therefore helped assure we'd get there again thus year. The EL is a few quid in comparison... I'm a bit on the fence though on this argument. Obviously being a regular CL club is far better but winning a trophy is a nice end to the season.
