You are right. The Norwich Hospital Club is open to all, so not a second class competition that bans the better teams.
The owners hardly ever see a penny of the money though. It all goes to make the players and managers multi-millionaires.
If you read my post properly you will know I was careful not to say or even imply that. My whole point, which no-one has even bothered to address, is that any competition which excludes the top teams can't be a bragging point against clubs who have been excluded. The Europa League is a fine trophy for also rans. I hope you win it.

10 seasons from now would you prefer a guaranteed 10 europa cups (meaning 10 seasons outside the top 4) Or 10 cl finals? If your in the europa then it's important to try to win it just like any comp that's obvious. The fact is teams in the CL don't want to win the europa(while in the CL) whereas teams in the europa DO want to win the CL (while in the europa) says it all. Ask anyone if they would prefer their team to be competing for the top prizes or win the lesser comp. 100% would say compete for the top prizes. Otherwise why support any team or even care about football in the first place? It is if you can guarantee a win. Which you can't. Therefore This question is mind numbingly stupid
