As usual, I watched the match in the Grange last night. The room I was in was purely Liverpool supporters, bar one utd supporter, who was, needless to say, supporting City. In the main room, there was a mixture with all mancs supporting City. They didn't even seem to care that their team was thumped at home by a side already relegated. I actually had to switch my phone off last so that I could concentrate on what I was watching. Not one of the texts were from City supporters. ****ing sad ****s
says it all that fans of other clubs have to support a different team to have something to cheer about even if their own team is playing
Yeah.... I didn't care what the **** was happening Brighton. They were always cannon fodder but it's clear there was a delay on sky tv on our game which sky wasn't willing to explain. That was funny but then our game stopped for a good 2 mins. I was annoyed cos I had no interest. I'm just wanted to see our game. We then played poorly til half time. Sky also then cut our coverage and went to City despite them bringing the other channel so we couldn't even see our team at end.
They hired dan ashworth in Feb who has been brought in from England set up who is very well thought of. So may not be huge surprise, whether been a breakdown there in that relationship etc
That was annoying. Didn’t wanna see city celebrating, wanted to see the lfc players walking round and applauding etc. Fact they had city on the other side meant people could switch if they wanted to watch the trophy lifted etc. Just turned off in the end to watch soccer Saturday who were talking about all the games
btw... ogs says thry dont deserve their fans. yet said fans were singing while city scored so they deserve each other big tine
embarrassing everton fans did the same at spurs own team not good enough, so have to support others and sing songs!!! ****ing sad
Brighton are the only team of the current PL teams that would be in trouble next season. The promoted 2 are fairly poor, no Wolves this time, and only Leeds look like they might survive, of course they still need to win the Playoff. So if the lower PL teams can maintain or improve they should be safe, aside from Brighton who just don't score enough. Big summer for Brighton, need to find players to get them above the level of the promoted teams.
Surviving in the PL seems to me to be a reasonable achievement for clubs with relatively modest resources. Staying in the league is success really. No matter how hard the 3rd to 6th placed teams tried to be completely useless in the last few months no-one else was getting near them.
Given A) Everton B) Leicester C) wolves now D) west ham with their free gifts The top 10 even without Newcastle who s owner has stopped them see ding much til January.... any club who s 12th to 17th (5 of thrm) are fighting to survive by definition. So yes you are right. There's a number of leagues in the one. The top 4 battles, the 7th through 10th or even 12th. Someone mentioned Bournemouth. Theyve clearly gone young, gone british and focused on just doing enough. Theyve been trounced up abd down the conutry but try to play football and win at home. The issue for me is Brighton just never look like scoring so something has to give there Some time. Burnley are the same. Etc he showed his true colours when it got tough. His side got very cynical fairly quickly. It's the magic 40 points. I don't know what'll happen next year. Sheff Utd and Norwich will struggle but there can always be a Brighton or Cardiff who can trouble the survivors. Imo Southampton will need to improve but I'd back them more than Brighton to do it. Those should be the two clubs most in danger from promoted sides.
Pretty much agree with that. Burnley's tactics of being difficult to beat I think will give them more than the promoted teams Think Soton will better next season, they've got a couple of players that can make a big difference, Redmond, Ward-Prowse and Ings to score them goals. And now they seem to have a good manager who will be able to do something in the summer. As I said Brighton for me are the ones likely to be in real trouble (although that would depend on Leeds getting promoted) with Sheff U and Norwich also likely to be relegated. Of course there is always the chance someone could have a mare of a season.... Fingers crossed its Man U
The list from 11 down Watford - great year this year, couldc well apart Palace - great end of season to get 49points but were awful at home. Rocky. Newkie - If rafas goes.. oh oh. Hard to best and added goals in January Bournemouth - on beach for months. Could easily all go wrong. Don't rate defensively Burnley - hard to beat only 40 point. Don't score enough and could be down there again Southampton - barely survived. Can't defend. Good manager though I think. Brighton - cant score. Anyone from palace down could have been in bottom if things went a bit wrong.
ah sorry it wasn't a very clear response You said Probably should be but I doubt there will be much in it at the bookies my response was i think we will be clear favourites a bookies but imo we should be narrow favourites.
