The only hope of stopping a City dominance is if the continue to **** up the CL. If they go chasing the CL then there is the possibility they start to sacrifice the league. And for me that's the only slim hope there is. (unless Fifa and FFP come into play)
or on a serious note kompany replacement is stones fernandinho replacement is good David Silva ages out aguero gets injured. pep gets tired.
Or City buy replacements for all those players and get another manager like they're already done in the past. Also Kompany and Silva have virtually been replaced already. Guess they're still suffering from Yaya leaving as well?
not all signings work out. they didnt win every title. chelsea won some too. in general Ederson great buy. walker. works hard but could go off boil left back.. so chemo did great. the rest not so much. cb.. work to do. no 6. fernadinho or nobody no 8s brilliant mist be said. kdb, silvas. sterling. no injuries.. must be said tjeyve been lucky there. sane and mahrez. good in rotation. big goals. aguero. one I just and brilliant but getting on. this is far from a dynasty at this point. lfc have a back 5 that could last 5 year's with vvd eldest. that's sorted. off forwards are 27 etc. can last too... not sure thry can sustain it week in week out. midfield.. Keita ox and fabinho all youngish too.... we've lost but we've reasons to be positive. we've klopp and a team and we will do our best.
This isn't about us This is about City. They've got maybe two/three problem areas? All of which are easy to fix, especially with their financial backing and rising European profile (which was the only thing holding them back in past years) Whilst it may not be a dynasty atm, the point is they're talking about it for the first time. In the past its always been about winning rather than sustainable winning.
@moreinjuredthanowen I'm going to be positive just for you In terms of the rest of the league, We're the only realistic challengers to City for next season or next few anyway. The others are too far behind or too much of a mess to be fixed in the next 3 or 4 transfer windows. So if City are to slip up (so long as we push them again) or become complacent it should be too our benefit.
City will just go and spunk another 200million this summer. It is what it is. Until FIFA actually do something about these ridiculous clubs, starting with Chelsea and running through to PSG and City, the European leagues will be a farce. I'm so proud of our season. For all the what ifs about our draws, it happens. Clubs do not play well for 38games a season and will get draws. Our points tally is ****ing amazing, especially given what we got last season, and we may even be stronger next season. Money can't buy passion and belief and that's what we'll always have over City's fans (beyond those saintly 30k who followed them in the league 1 days)
It’s a shame that Liverpool just couldn’t get over the line. No shame in that, just not enough. Still a 75% favourite for the CL IMO
Ultimately not good enough, but 2nd champions league final in a row is good going. No way are we big favourites if favourites at all.
no we are favourites. clear favourites imo. spurs will have to pull themselves together over 3 weeks to get a full squad for and ready. lfc have alisson, vvd, taa, Robertson, mane, salah. firmino might be undercooked. I dunno... but it's going to be lfc favourites.
we did all we could and more than anyone else bar city has ever done. cos city got the 2nd highest points ever they win it and deserve it. simple. we can be very proud of what we did all year.
Agreed we are going to be favourites. But clear favourites? Probably should be but I doubt there will be much in it at the bookies
hmmm... we will see. lfc betting is notorious tbh. for me given we've beaten spurs this season and the teams won't have any shocks for each other and seeing spurs have no experience of this final and all the **** that goes round it well that means we will wear favourites tag. it's only a tag. it actually means nothing.
a quick check says lfc 6/11 on and spurs 18/11. in a two horse race that tells me the money is piling on liverpool.
How can anyone claim Spurs are favourites having finished 26pts behind us? We beat them 2-1 twice too
all.of that. it bears no relation to the game itself. for.me what's.more important is our own experiences. we know if players are rested or.injured that being at the highest level for last big day is tough. spurs have been struggling to get a team together at times but will probably have most at some level.of fitness. not sure about winks for example... nor firmino on our side Kane could run about in celebration but he could be **** and cost them the game if he starts, equally he could be their hero. both sides will be desperate to win it, we know what it's like to be there.. all of the big day **** and pagentry etc. how to walk past the cup and not fall apart. this time we have a real.keeper.... for.me it's going to be a hell if an intense game requiring a ref who doesn't just blow every contact.. neither side need that.
