I hope we go into it trying to put on a show (we play better that way) rather than trying to defend the one goal lead.
Remember Minxy that Marquis was in the L1 team of the season rather than Lyle Taylor... with one goal and one assist Lyle proved today that his omission was an error!
In the second half we were almost guilty of over playing the ball, so dominant were we. Doncaster simply couldn’t handle the quality of Cullen (MOM) , Aribo and Taylor. Josh Parker has his best game so far in a Charlton shirt, and won over the supporters who gave him some ovation when he was subbed. Albie Morgan wasn’t great, and will do well to start the return leg. It wouldn’t be Charlton without a few butterflies at the end, but in short we are a better side with better players than Donny, and a Wembley place is ours if we keep our composure. Our support was superb, both in numbers and in volume throughout the 90 mins. Wembley here we come.
It must be so hard for the away supporters on the way home, a 2-1 away win but NOT 3 points to celebrate as usual …. no it's just half time with another 90 minutes to play..... on Friday we go again!
