Bet the ticket touts cannot wait for the thousands of ticketless Spurs/Liverpool and to a lesser extent Arsenal and Chelsea supports heading to Madrid and Baku!

    The local police maybe not...

Well the games are on BT so a lot of people here won't be able to see the game unless they go to the pub or stream it.

    Again money talks of course...

  2. The touts and agencies are disgusting. The night of the Wolves game tickets for the Watford end in the final were already being offered for sale at silly prices - and at that point we didn't even know which end we'd be in <laugh>
Have got BT sports so forget that this game isn't free to air <doh>

Arsenal v Chelsea from the same town travelling thousands of miles to play a football match is wonderful for the planet. Still if anyone must go packages are already available for a miserly £4,000.

Of course it is a triumph of capitalism.. And the paradox is I love my sport and my club. Sadly the need for sponsorship has seen this happen across most sports. As Lorenz said Sport was a way of pacifying the masses. With limited availability through pay per view media.. Appetites are whetted and people want more etc etc.

So what we see in these finals is the ultimate outcome. However I also believe this will be a one off.. Time may prove me wrong..

In the stadium in Baku, which holds 68,000, both clubs will get 6,000 tickets - which rather shows how important the real fans in stadiums are in all of this. Has any Arsenal v Chelsea match ever been played in front of only 12,000 of their fans before ? For the champions league final they get 17,000 each - again, less than half of the stadium capacity.

    Guess they were Club Wembley?

Sadly airlines and hotels will take advantage of big games like this no matter where they are held.

Having 4 in the Finals mean we will keep our 7 clubs in Europe for a few years which has to be good for Watford

What is not clear is the situation if Man. City are banned from the Champions League due to the UEFA investigation into financial irregularities. Would they be replaced, or would England lose one of those places in Europe ?

Okaka scores after 11 minutes for Udinese to take a much needed lead.

Empoii still have to beat Torino or inter Milan plus Torino need to win to keep Roma and Lazio out of the last place of Europe and Inter are still trying for the CL .But the fat lady is not singing ,But i think she is getting dressed up for Empoli

Udinese have SPAL (h) Cagliari (a)
Empoli have Torino (h) Inter (a)

There's plenty of other permutations but these are the ones th a will probably matter. Even Fiorentina on 40pts could go down but it will be one of Genoa, Bologna, Parma, Cagliari or Udinese.... squeaky bum time...

    Edit... or Empoli

I'd fancy Udinese to get more points there but my predictions are usually wrong!
