I thought we are always being told that football is a family?

The owner keeps on telling people he wants to sell but makes no attempt to actually do it, … he has enough money to sit on us till he dies just (seemingly) to anger the supporters! Bow and Jacko worked their t1ts off to get us to 3rd (which on the last day of the regular season seemed to be a present from you and Pompey?) but the owner seems to be trying to force them out by not offering new contracts ... utter madness???

And I thought Ellis Short was a bad owner! Makes you wonder how these people pass the FA fit and proper person test.

Lee Bowyer has really surprised me this season. He's done a brilliant job with Charlton, considering what he's had to work with and for me, should win the League 1 manager of the year.

Bowyer has worked wonders. He has not spent (or been given) a penny for transfers.

Yes, I was aware of that, which makes his achievement even more impressive. You'll do well to hang on to him for next season.

For all his mistakes, didn’t Ellis Short clear your debt before selling your club at a realistic price ?

Our prick of an owner has loaded £62m of debt onto Charlton - loaned by his Belgian company which is changing the football club 3% interest. Not only that, Duchatelet paid £18m for us as a Championship club...and is now asking £50m for us as a League One club...based solely on the fact we are a London football club 4 miles from the City but with a ground that will never get planning permission for development (thank God)

And all the while, that useless bunch of c*nts at the EFL sit back and do nothing...

He did yeah, he made many mistakes along the way but I think his heart was in the right place he just didn't know anything about football and didn't realise the importance of hiring people who do. As you say he paid off the debt and left us in a great position.

It felt grim at the time and it was really, on the pitch we couldn't win a game to save our life, but overall it wasn't that bad in comparison to some.

It’s a shame to read all that mate, I had heard bits.

Ellis did drag us £200million into debt mind and from the Prem to League One, so he’s a contender. Fair play to him he cleared the debt but he cleared it having regressed the club 15 years.

The Limone supporters association are right behind the lads for tonight. Walked into this guy's shop in Limone and had to double take the SAFC poster on the wall. He is Roberto Lonoce and flies over for the occasional game. Unbelievable Jeff

The mindset has to be for these two games against Portsmouth that there is a minimum of 180 minutes to play and there will be some ups and downs over this time. Not get too excited if we score and not too down if we concede. It’s all about doing the business now. No second chances if at the of Thursday night and we are out. If this doesn’t focus the players then nothing will. Hearts and minds lads!!! You can do it just believe in yourselves and balls for glory!!! Haway the lads!!!!

Hope we have had a lot of practice taking penalties. There’s not a lot between the four teams at the moment and I’m sure this format of deciding games whether we like it or not is going to have a huge bearing of the outcome of who goes up. Maybe time to put Lord Rowell on the bench?
