Would've backed Liverpool to beat Ajax......Now i've this horrible, sinking feeling it could be yid time. Is their name on it this season?....****ing hope not,but there you go.
But not the CL. You tried for more than a decade to win it, and failed miserably each time. Let’s hope we can do the job for North London.
...and failed, Commie. I'm not saying that we will succeed, but it's a relief that North London has a team, at last, that has true spirit, and will give it a good shot.
As Pixie knows full well, I announced towards the start of the season that I am taking no wagers until I have seen out my current wagers. Plus, you’ve got more chance of beating Chavs than we have of beating ‘Pool, so it’s not a very shrewd bet to accept.
I’d prefer to think that all the clubs have done brilliantly to fill the final two places in both of Europe’s top competitions.
True. Only Pool has maintained any real league form. Just shows how competitive the PL is nowadays. No doubt it’s far and away the most competitive league there is.
Between 6 & 7 is 9 points, not exactly a gulf. 7&8 4 points...so it’s not just the top 6. In reality, and as we’ve seen, any team in the prem can beat any other on the right day.
Obviously you need money. But that’s not gonna guarantee you anything - just look at your club!.. You need a manager who builds teams. And has them playing as a team. He knows what pieces are missing from his own jigsaw, as it were, and then finds them. Klopp has done fairly well at it, as has Espirito Santo at Wolves.
I wasn't referring to money. I was asking if the competitive nature of the league for the majority (lets say outside the top 2) is due to a narrowing of the quality where the traditionally better teams have become worse - moreso than the worse teams becoming better?
