We are linked with 24yo LB Pedro Rebocho from Guingamp - the last Portuguese full back was half decent... We are also linked with 26yo Australian AM Tom Rogic from Celtic. 20yo CM Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has been named development squad player of the season and apprently is being tipped to break into the first team - never watched him play but is he anywhere near the level of Teilsmans?
Danny Simpson- “I don’t even know where to start. I never ever thought that on the day I signed for Leicester I’d play for you as long as I have, nor have as many unbelievable memories as I have, never mind ending up a Premier League winner and playing in the Champions League. “But more importantly, I have felt at home and part of a family. Thank you to everyone involved with Leicester. My team-mates, the coaches, all the staff and of course the fans for your support throughout everything. I will miss giving my all for you. It’s obviously a sad day to announce I am leaving but I am looking forward to a new chapter. “This club is so special and it’s only going to get better, with the new manager, the class players we have and the ambition of the club there will be many more amazing memories and performances like what we’ve experienced since I’ve been at the club. “I have one special mention for ‘The Boss’ Vichai. I wouldn’t be who I am today if it wasn’t for him. The faith he had in me and the trust he had in me made me grow and change as a person from day one walking through the door until now and I will miss him forever. Thank you, Boss. “I will always be a Fox and I will never forget any of you.”
A tip top defensive right back. Sadly his style is going out the game but shows you can win the league if you don’t concede! Can see him going to a promoted team.
Could see him ending up at who wins the playoffs, wouldn’t fit Sheff Utds style and Norwich have one of the up and coming young full backs on Aarons. Simpson still has a lot to offer, I hope he gets a good club
I can see his style of play paying off better in the Championship, even the teams that are coming up these days are looking for attacking wingbacks.
I think the opposite. I think he is more suited to the Prem at a team who just want to be solid like Cardiff this season At a top championship club they will want him to attack alot more
Rodgers has backed Iheanacho Yes he is (a part of my plans). “When you’re playing or challenging one of the best strikers in the league, it’s difficult. “Kel will come back into pre-season, gain more confidence and hopefully come out of that with a renewed motivation to show his qualities. “I’ve been impressed with him. His appetite, his work, and then in games, where he has come on, he’s impacted the game, he’s done very well, and nearly did again. “He knows he should score, in big games you don’t get many chances. “He’s a fantastic young player and hopefully he can show that over his time at Leicester.”
Bet Ryan Giggs had a big say in that signing - looks like Man Utd will be getting rid of a lot of players so might actually play. We are still linked with Harry Wilson if we want to sign a young Welsh winger.
Andre Gomes is close to signing for Spurs - good news for us as it means that they won't be after Teilsmann...
He's some player Teilsmann!!!.... Re Jarrod Bowen ... he's a good lad, works hard, but he will have to improve enormously to be a PL player. His right foot is for standing on. Having said that, when Andy Robertson went to Liverpool he was probably 50% of the player he is now... and Harry Maguirte was probably 70% of the player he has become...
What kind of player is Bowen - judging by his lack of assists, I'm guessing not a traditional hug the line and send in crosses winger. Will be interesting if we go for him - we are also after Harry Wilson who can use both feet and Rodgers knows him but I'm not sure think Liverpool would sell him.
My girlfriend is a derby fan so I watch quite a bit and believe me Wilson would be a hell of a signing. Yes - a bit inconsistent. Yes - can go missing. But like Mahrez he is a match winner and can produce a moment of magic out of nowhere.
I don't think you'd get Wilson. Seems he definitely has a future at Liverpool. Bowen is obviously 'the man' at HCAFC, but he has had so much created for him by Grosicki and Campbell, perhaps the best front 3 in the championship. Grosicki could have scored more goals than him this season, but he isn't as clinical. He has loads of confidence and is young enough to improve with coaching.
Rodgers is open to Benkovic going back to Celtic on loan - might work out for everyone as Morgan is going to be around for another year as backup. We are linked with Jordon Ibe who Rodgers worked with at Liverpool and only has a year left on his contract at Bournemouth.
