I’d destroy that right now. The mrs has a big lunch so I’ve just eaten a Bavarian smoked ham sandwich and marmite on toast.
Wish the steak was twice that size, was fookin delicious and I cooked it right. Could easily have eaten two. Sauce was packet, can do way better myself, but still ok.
Steak tonight, it's marinating in worcester sauce, heaps of black pepper and mixed herbs. Homemade chips. Sausages. Fried onions and mushrooms Peas and carrots. May do a gravy, but undecided yet. Also done bait for tomorrow. 2 wraps with chicken, with loads of fried peppers, onions and mushrooms, all in a garlic and chilli mayo.
Well, the ****s don't do black pudding, so no to that. Everything else, yes. Generally; sausage, bacon, egg (preferably poached but they sometimes do this mini omelette thing) beans, shrooms and hash brown. Toast on the side.
After discovering the ease and beauty of making your own burgers, i can't force myself to go to such places now.
Had a "homemade" burger and chips (+onion rings) from Jenny 's today. Not sure how home made it actually was, or if it was worth a full £2 more than a bog standard 1/4 Pounder and chips; it was pretty ****ing good though.
I’ve only made my own once. It just tasted of mince beef. When I’ve been to friends who’ve made their own they just tasted dry. Not enough fat in them.
They are probably using lean mince. Love my homemade burgers, you can design the choice off flavours..
Proper quality butcher, or even supermarket, burgers on a barbecue are a thing of complete beauty. I don't really mind the **** McD stuff, if needs be, but if you do it right they are absolutely ****ing divine.
Aberdeen angus burgers, you tried them? Sometimes at work i spend more time looking at the stuff going out than actually working.
Yeah, of course. The Lidl ones are brilliant. You need proper brioche buns, crap plastic cheese, some onions, and at least one sauce/relish as well but the end result is superb. I fully get why half of America is grotesquely obese on the back of burgers. They taste good.
