that's what I call a good day out, well a part from the arrest bit and the score line. A bit touchy subject that game. I was told a a few day before the game that I couldn't get a ticket, so I travelled over anyway and watched it on the TV in my sisters house in Wimbledon.
That's a fecker! You could have probably got in as I remember that we had 5 of us on 3 seats. The glory days when you could squeeze a few extras through a turnstile
Indeed support in the EFL has increased in the last few years https://www.efl.com/news/2019/may/efl-attendances-reach-60-year-high/
I always forget that Yeboah played that day - seem to remember Andy Gray was considered the one highlight of the day. (also went and had the joy of not being able to drink and had to drive back to ****ing Manchester after the game). Also went to Leeds-Watford and Leeds-Doncaster so must be owed at least one decent final experience.......
I don't remember much at all, particularly that Yeboah played! Wonder if he was subbed for Brolin? Don't forget fecking Charlton as well. Final was at Birmingham City. Lost that 2-1. For Donnie I got a ticket off a tout and ended up sat right in the middle of 20 plus donnie lads all from the same pub. To be fair all good lads and the landlady was the one I sat next to as it was her spare she hold sold to the tout (why are the always scousers?!!). She kept them in check!!
There were about 8 of us from around Northwood and North Harrow and we used to meet up with Northampton Whites and Staffordshire Whites at mostly away games. Staffs were Andy, Dave and Sean, plus other lads, forgot the names now. Seen the Northampton lads at games in recent years, still a bunch of herberts
Once met up with some Wellingborough Whites near Northampton, was at the Bournemouth promotion game, they said me and my m8 could crash out in their room, when we got there, they threw the wardrobe out of the third floor window, we decided to sleep in my car
Morning all On our present run of form today's is not an easy game. I am confident that Marcelo will have them ready to do battle. Good luck lads let's have a few goals.
