Pochettino needed 3 consecutive seasons in the CL to reach the final. Wenger needed 9. Was he doing a "work to rule" on French working hours ??
But by the time Wenger reached the final, he had won the Prem several times... Has Pooch come close to that?
The only competition they had back then was Utd. Those two won the league every year for some time. Things are far more competitive now.
He took over George Graham's extremely successful side and had far greater resources than virtually every other team in the country. Bruce Rioch may have sandwiched the two managers for a short period, but there's a reason why he's basically airbrushed out of their history.
I see. Winning the PL several times severely messes up your CL chances. Good job Pochettino has decided to try and win the CL first.
The only competition this season are Man City and Liverpool... Yet you are 24 points below them. That's not even close.
One season. It’s been far closer in most recent years. There are now probably 6 clubs that have the ability to mount a challenge. The Goons and Utd had zero competition back then.
Can you please remind us all just how many titles and cups Arsenal have won since Wenger took over, and Spurs tally?
Cos you Spuds like to try and belittle Arsenal. Where the rest off the country knows just who are the better club. The stats don't lie.
You've never really came that close when it matters. There was that tug off war between Spuds and Arsenal, to see who could catch Leicester, but you even blew that.
This is a thread about Spurs and Liverpool in a cup final, where an Arsenal fan has come in and started boasting about their Champions League record. It's not Spurs fans attacking Arsenal, it's the opposite, you 2nd rate Geordie!
Honestly, I think we have the better team this year, and the Premier League table reflects that; so,I think we're most likely to win. However. Spuds are not a pushover side, they can be a very tough team on the wrong day, there's also the matter of, whereas our home form in Europe has been great, our away form in Europe has been abysmal this year. We haven't played neutral ground yet. If we play the final like we've played our away games so far Spurs will win.
